One of my favorite makeup brands to use is Maybelline. I’ve used this brand for a long time and have come to love and rely on the quality of the makeup, as well as the looks of love it creates! In fact, recently I demonstrated How to Create a Romantic Makeup Look using Maybelline products. Today, I’ll be sharing How to Create a 10-Minute Valentine’s Day Look.
How to Create a 10-Minute Valentine’s Day Look
Step 1: Prep Your Canvas
Before applying makeup, you need to prep your canvas. Be sure to remove any makeup and wash your face. Pat dry and then apply moisturizer to your face. Then follow up with a Foundation Primer. You will wait to apply the foundation, powder, bronzer and blush until after the eye makeup is complete.
Step 2: The Eyes
Since I’m a redhead, my eyebrows are really light, so I fill in my brows with an eyebrow pencil. After filling in my brows, I apply an eye primer, which helps keep the shadow in place and prevents cracking or lines. Next I apply the eyeshadow. I really like the Maybelline Blushed Nudes Palette because it has a lot of pink colors, which go perfectly for Valentine’s Day. The Blushed Nudes Palette is a 12-shade collection curated to create infinite sensuous looks. The shadows are gorgeous and are infused with rose gold pigments for bolder blushes, provocative plums, and risque roses.
Once I’ve applied the shadows, I line my eyes (top and bottom) with the Maybelline Master Precise Skinny Gel Pencil in Defining Black. I apply it on my lid by the lashes and then on the water line (that way it isn’t too dark).
The next step is to give my lashes some volume with the Maybelline Falsies Push Up Drama Mascara in Blackest Black. This mascara has a push up cup brush with cup-shaped bristles that scoop and lift lashes. The new creamy plumping formula delivers instant volume and holds lift in place. It’s an awesome mascara!
Step 3: The Face
I like to apply the foundation, powder, bronzer and blush after doing my eye makeup in case there is any fall-down from the shadows (this is where the dust falls onto your face from applying the shadows to your eyes). I dot the foundation on my face and then blend with a sponge. Once blended, I add a powder with a brush and then follow up with a bronzer and blush.
Step 4: The Lips
I finish up my look with a gorgeous pink lipstick. I used the Maybelline Color Sensational LipColor in Blushing Bud. I love how it stays on my life and doesn’t dry like some lipsticks do. The Maybelline Color Sensational LipColor is a super rich and creamy lipstick made with nourishing honey nectar. You can either go for a pink or red shade for Valentine’s Day.
The Completed Look
I love the way my 10-Minute Valentine’s Day look turned out. It was super easy and looks really pretty.
