Do you pack your child’s school lunches? Believe it or not, I love to pack our school lunches for our 6 kids! Honestly, I think they like it when I pack their lunches too. When packing 6 lunches on a regular basis, I’d like to think I’ve gotten pretty good at it.

Here are 5 Things to Pack in Your Child’s School Lunch.

1 – Homemade sandwich. Our kids like Peanut Butter and Jelly, Chicken Salad and Ham (sometimes Turkey) sandwiches. I cut all their sandwiches in half and put them in sandwich bags.

2 – Gogurts or string cheese. Half of the kids love Gogurts in their lunches. To keep them cold all day if you don’t have an insulated lunch, you should consider freezing it and letting it defrost throughout the day. I offer the kids who don’t care for Gogurts the choice to have string cheese. I try to include something with dairy in it.

3 – Crackers or Chips. Some of our kids like crackers and some like chips. I make sure I don’t pack too many but just enough to keep them happy.

4 – A sweet treat. I remember loving that sweet treat in my lunch when I was a kid, so I try to do that for our kids too. Whether it’s a few cookies, fruit snacks or baked good, they look forward to the sweet part of their lunch.

5 – CAPRI SUN™ Organic juice drinks. Our kids love drinks in their lunches, especially when it’s a CAPRI SUN™ juice drink. CAPRI SUN™ juice drinks are known for their iconic, silver pouches that are present in virtually every lunch box. Now, you can get this classic kid’s favorite made with USDA Organic Fruit Juice!

I’ll have to try some of the organic juice in my daughters lunchbox. She’s so picky, anything different and she’s having a fit over but I think she’d like these.

  3. I really enjoyed the break from packing lunches over Christmas, lol! But now that the kids are back at school, I’m back at it too. Like you mentioned, I always try to make sure they have dairy, as well as fruits and vegetables (raw peas in the pod, baby carrots, etc) and a protein too.

  4. This is the first time I have seen Capri Sun Organic packs. I am not much of a Capri Sun drinker. Not one who believes in drinking my calories. But, I know some people who could benefit on swapping to the organic version.

  5. I have never heard of Capri Sun Organic Juice drink before. I’ll try to check this out in my area. We usually sent them Zest-O and Big juice drink, then I heard that its not even safe for kids nowadays since its concentrated and considered junk food. I should try looking for Organic Juice this would be a great change this 2016. I just hope they will love it.

  6. My son loves Capri Sun, but he’s never tried the organic ones yet. This is the first time that I’ve seen them. Will check it out next time we’re at the grocery store.

  7. I didn’t know Capri came organic now! My kids don’t love them so I never pay attention to them. String cheese on the other hand. Household staple, I tell ya!

  8. My son always gets a main meal (pasta, lasagna, wraps, croissant sandwiches, etc) and a side of yogurt with fruit, a crunchy treat, and a decadent treat (which is basically homemade cookies, chocolate chips and dried cherries, etc).

  9. Omg!!!! You it’s made me so excited!!!! I grew up drinking Capri suns and my daughter ughh… She’s a juice hater! She will drink all the organic juices though because they aren’t as full of flavor! So buying these for her when I go grocery shopping!

  10. My daughters absolutely loved Capri Sun. It was a regular in their lunches every day. It’s still what we purchase for the kids to drink when we have any sort of family get-together!

  11. This is the first I have heard about these organic juices. It will only be another year or so before I start having to pack school lunches. I plan to keep it mostly natural and healthy so these juices will be a great option.

  12. Kids lunches are so important – I recently watched a documentary Fed Up on Netflix that will rack your brain about sugar consumption! It really made me think!

  13. Capri sun organic seems like a drink id like to try ahaha am just messing!. i love that it says its organic. theres already enough bad stuff in food as it is. at least thats one drink i can rest easy knowning it had good stuff in
