  1. my tip for a stress free holiday is to relax and enjoy the moment. it is more fun to relax than to try to have everything perfect.

my best tip to be un stressed over the holidays is to just go away on vacation,,ive never done it yet but sure would love too

      1. My tip is to plan as much as possible in advance – cooking, shopping, etc! This saves a lot of stress.

    2. I decided to make a must happen list and a would-be-great list. I really had to consider my priorities this year and decide to focus on what our family enjoys the most.

  2. I have a stress free holiday by planning ahead with both sides of the family on what times we will be getting together, who will be buying what, and letting them know even when we will leave. It’s hard visiting everyone when you have small kids so this helps take the worry out of it.

  3. The best thing for me is to remember that you don’t have to be a Martha Stewart, less is more, and plan ahead as much as practical.

  4. We buy gifts for kids in the family, but for the adults we do a secret santa. Having less people to buy for is a definite stress reliever.

  5. My tip for a stress-free holiday is to wrap a few presents each day starting a few weeks before Christmas so you don’t get overwhelmed with a large amount to wrap last minute.

  6. Don’t get yourself stressed out by trying to make everything perfect. I used to wrap every gift and try to make it perfect anf designer looking. Now I am more likely to just throw things in bags.

My best tip is to try to clean ahea dof time–like every weekend up until the day. Also, cook a day ahead so you can relax on the day guests are with you.

  8. For me learning to say no to some things helps me to prioritize better.
I have more time then and am more relaxed.
    thank you

  9. I would say don’t take on more than you’re comfortable with. Preparing a big meal for lots of people is stressful to me, so I prefer to do ‘bring a snack’ get-togethers. I also try to shop early and not wait until the very last minute to get everything purchased.

  10. My tip is tell family to avoid arguments or topics that will cause arguments and NO alcohol! and if they do not comply, don’t invite them!

  11. My tip is to try to get as much done as possible in advance. I also try to wrap my gifts as I buy them so I’m not wrapping at the last minute.

  12. Instead of buying each other gifts my friends & I generally agree to do something fun together during the holidays, which is great because no stress of what to buy or how much to spend…and we get to spend some time together which really is the greatest gift!

  13. It would be fun to go to every event and activity, but who has the time and energy for that at the holidays?!?!? Just say NO once in a while. Took me years to learn this, but it has made life much more enjoyable.

My tip for a stress-free holiday is ask those around you to assist. Trying to do it all by yourself is a sure way you will be stressed. 🙂

  15. Try to get as much done as you can during the first part of December so the week of Christmas you can just sit back relax and enjoy the holidays
