Happy Thanksgiving 2015

Thanksgiving is one of my favorite times of the year. Not only does it include delicious dishes and a juicy turkey, but it also includes laughter, stories and thankfulness with our family and friends. This year, we enjoyed Thanksgiving dinner at my sister and brother-in-law’s home. In attendance were my dad and stepmom, mother- and father-in-law, best friend and her two kids and then our big family (all 8 of us)! It was a night of laughs, food, more food and thankfulness.

We started the night with appetizers, including Onion Dip, Clam Dip, Veggies and Ranch, and my Homemade Deviled Eggs. I haven’t made Deviled Eggs in a while, but I wanna say they turned out pretty dang yummy! Not to mention the fact that they went fast!

The kids had a blast playing games with grandma, grandpa and each other. Some of the family enjoyed watching football and relaxing in the front room. We all enjoyed eating lots of food!

Once the turkey was ready, we were excited to dig in. Pa sliced up the juicy turkey for everyone! We had lots of different dishes to fill up our plates with, including Corn Casserole, Mashed Potatoes and Gravy, Green Beans, Sweet Potato Casserole, Stuffing and rolls. For dessert, we had a homemade cake (from my mother-in-law) and pumpkin pie with whipped cream.

So happy to hear that you had a nice Thanksgiving. We spent ours down to New York City for the Macy’s day parade 🙂

  3. Looks like you had a great holiday. We always play games when my family gets together. This year we played a board game about being a farmer and then another new game called scrambled states.

  4. We actually had four different Thanksgiving meals and got to be with most of our family, so I am extra thankful this year. We had turkey, ham, an abundance of side dishes and plenty of pie!

  5. Now that you mention it, we didn’t have deviled eggs on Thanksgiving and I’m upset we missed out. We usually do! Sounds like you had a fantastic Thanksgiving!

  6. Wow looks like you had an amazing time. This is what thanksgiving is all about! We had ours back in October and had a ton of food but it was just our little family!

  7. While we were waiting for the turkey to be done, since everything else was done, a friend decided at the last minute to make deviled eggs. I’m so glad she did- I love them!
