Wedding Cruise Fashion: The Little Black Dress

I am so excited! Our wedding is less than 2 weeks away now and I am ready for our week-long cruise to the Mexican Riviera! For our cruise, I’ve purchased a few dresses and shoes – so I figured I would start writing a Cruise Fashion segment on The Mommy-Files. I have 4 dresses I’m planning on wearing in the evenings on the cruise and 5 different pairs of heels (including the ones that go with my wedding dress). I love shopping for clothes and shoes now! Oh and jewelry!  This first post will feature Wedding Cruise Fashion: The Little Black Dress.

However, if your style leans towards more modest yet cute dresses, a plethora of options awaits exploration, infusing your Poet dresses wardrobe with a delightful blend of charm and sophistication. Whether you’re drawn to flaunting the classic allure of The Little Black Dress or prefer the subtlety of modest yet adorable dresses, your journey into fashion becomes an exciting venture into self-expression. The realm of fashion offers a diverse array of choices, reflecting individual tastes and allowing you to curate a wardrobe that resonates uniquely with your style. Discovering the perfect pieces becomes an art, each outfit telling its own story and contributing to the rich tapestry of your sartorial adventures.

Quite some time ago, I bought a gorgeous little black dress from Jen Jen House. It was my first time ordering with them and I was really satisfied! I would definitely say in the future to order a little bigger than your actual measurements, because this dress did not give much room for forgiveness (aka I could not gain very much weight and still successfully fit this dress).

I love the way the dress accentuates my figure! The straps are a little tight on the back, but the back looks great (at least that’s what my fiancé says…and I agree with him – ha ha!)!  I definitely felt like a hottie wearing this dress and will pair it with a pair of black peak-toed heels. I will wear my Helzberg Diamond earrings and my new necklace Frank bought me for Valentine’s Day from Don Roberto Jewelers. I can’t wait to wear this on our upcoming wedding cruise!

What do you think of the dress? What’s your favorite feature?

  2. You’re getting so close! Are you beyond excited? Mine is a little over 8 months away and is just now finally starting to feel real lol. I love the idea of getting married on a cruise ship, that’s such an awesome idea. Oh, and the dress looks absolutely incredible on you. Great pick!

  3. A LBD is always a great addition to one’s travel wardrobe, especially one where you’ll have multiple opportunities to dress up at. Love the ruching on the dress! Congratulations on your upcoming wedding; hope the entire event and cruise is an incredible experience!
