I love Disneyland!  No matter how old I am, there is always something magical about visiting Disneyland.  I especially love visiting during the holidays, particularly during the Halloween and Christmas seasons.  Frank and I recently headed to Disneyland on a weekend getaway sans kids.  We both had a great time and took A LOT of pictures!

One of the first things you see as you walk up to the gates of Disneyland are Halloween decorations.  I loved them!  On the roofs of the gates were giant pumpkin decorations of Minnie, Mickey, Pluto and Donald Duck.  They were so much fun and immediately got me into the Halloween spirit!

The decorations continue as you walk up Main Street.  There is a Giant Pumpkin at the beginning of Main Street, in which you’ll find visitors snapping photos.  There are also lots of fun Halloween decorations throughout Main Street.  I kept taking picture after picture because they were so festive, cheery and fun!  Even the singers on Main Street were dressed for the festivities!  There were also lots of fun Halloween decorations throughout the park.

Throughout the park, we found foods that were Halloween-themed, as well as treats and goodies.  Heck, it inspired me to create some of our very own Halloween goodies with the kids at home!  I even enjoyed Candy Corn colored cotton candy in the park.  It was so yummy!

And of course there was one of my favorite rides all decked out with decorations for Halloween and themed from the movie, The Nightmare Before Christmas.  The Haunted Mansion is one of my favorite rides at Halloween and Christmas.  It is so much fun and I love the decorations both outside and in the ride!

Have you visited Disneyland during the Halloween season? What was your favorite part?

  1. I love to go to Disney around the Holidays. When my son was little we would go to Mickey Not So Scary Halloween Party every year.

  2. Disneyland sure goes all out with festive food and decor! I will have to plan a trip and check it out in person one of these Octobers.

  3. OMG these are the most amazing pictures!!! I have always wanted to do Halloween at Disney. It seems so fun! and such a sweet childhood experience made even more memorable by all the Halloween decorations. Also the treats look out of this world. I have often said Disney does some things better than anyone else on the planet. Service is one of those things.

  4. Wow! What a wonderful idea. I had never thought of Disney World for Halloween but I see they sure do it up right. I brought my kids here when they were later and I can’t wait to bring my grandchildren in a couple of years and it looks like I should plan this trip around Halloween!

  5. I have not been to Disney since i was a kid. I would love to go again. It looks like it would be great to go at Halloween time.

  6. It has been a long time but yes! We use to go to Disneyland when our kids were small in the fall and again closer to Christmas. It is just so beautiful and so much fun this time of year.

  7. I have never visited Disney Land in any season. 🙂 I would sure love to at some point. I didn’t realize that they went all out for Halloween too. It looks amazing. Love the pumpkin decorations of the Disney Characters.

  8. It has been awhile since I went to Disney – I miss the place – it is always full of fun and excitement and I kind of wish we have our own Disney here too – then halloween disney won’t be such a dream now haha!

  9. I feel like I’m the only person in the world who has never been to Disneyland. :/ Halloween is one of my favorite holidays, so I’d love to go during this time of year, for sure!

  10. I have been to Disneyland, but never at Halloween time. It looks like a lot of fun with all the Halloween decorations, and the Halloween desserts look amazing. I want to go there on Halloween!

  11. We’ve never been to Disney at Halloween time. We have celebrated the 4th of July and Christmas time at Disney World. Both experiences were magical.
