Last year, I attended my very first Fitcation Event (now known as ShiftCon).  It was an awesome experience and nothing quite like I thought it would be!  Part of the Fitcation experience involves exploring the region the conference was located in.  Last year, it was located on the California Central Coast in Paso Robles.  it was so much fun and was more amazing than I ever thought it would be!

One of the places we visited while attending Fitcation was Castoro Cellars – a winery located in Paso Robles, California.  It was a beautiful vineyard and the wine was delicious! Those who also love wine and want to purchase several bottles may store them in a storage facility with humidity control.

The entrance to the vineyard was so pretty!  There were grapes hanging above us and on the sides of us.  I wanted to eat the grapes right off the vine.  I couldn’t wait to taste the different wines they had in store for us.

We had a short tour of the property.  The view was beautiful!  Castoro Cellars is also a great place for weddings, especially in October – this was what the tour guide told us about the property.  Note that Frank and I weren’t engaged yet, but it was good to know – ha ha!

Next up was wine tasting and lunch!  One thing I learned about Castoro Cellars is that they have been practicing sustainable farming and winemaking for nearly 30 years.  They are SIP Certified.  I had a fabulous time and would love to visit again in the future – next time with Frank!

Be sure to follow Castoro Cellars on Facebook and Twitter for more information on the winery and their products. Check out these 2019 popular red wines.

Have you ever been wine tasting on the Central Coast?  Have you visited Castoro Cellars?  Are the wines you drink SIP Certified?

  1. I’ve never been on a wine tour like that before but hopefully I will be able to sometime in the future! I love how beautiful wineries are and they’re usually so very interesting 🙂

Looks like a lot of fun was had by all!

  2. I’ve always wanted to go to a wine vineyard to do a tasting, I love the group pic, normal versus funny. We do that too!

  3. I have two friends who visited wine country in California when they honeymooned several years ago (I haven’t been to any wineries in California.) I would have definitely been tempted to eat the grapes off the vine. 🙂

  4. Looks like a fun trip. How lucky to see the grapes and vineyard up close like that. We went once up by Santa Barbara to some wineries for tastings – it was a lot of fun.

  5. I’ve never been to a vineyard before or done any kind of wine tasting. I know my husband would really enjoy himself here but I don’t really care for the taste of it. Maybe I haven’t found one I like or a good quality wine? who knows.

  6. I’ll be honest here, I am not much of a wine connoisseur. I did a wine tasting last year and was so confused as to what was supposed to be a good wine and what was not lol. However, it looks like you sure know what’s what, and it seems like you had a wonderful time. That vineyard looks beautiful!
