Although our children are still young, we know that one day their big dreams will be replaced by school grades and college prep work.  Somewhere between nursery school and high school, our kids’ ideas of dreaming big starts getting narrower and narrower as they focus more on doing well in school, sports and getting into college.  Konica Minolta, an industry leader in Business Technologies, especially Production Printing, wants to celebrate extending children’s imaginations and encouraging big dreaming with the “Giving Shape to Ideas” initiative.

As a piece of this, the brand created a “Dream Printer,” where children in a picturesque New York state park could approach a unique printer and share with it what they most wanted to be when they grow up.  A talented artist hidden inside the printer listens to their dreams and draws the children as their future selves.  Moments later, each child collects from the printer a customized drawing of themselves as their future profession, from police officers to veterinaries.  I know our kids would love to see their dreams come true!  How about yours?  Check out the video below and share it with your family and friends.

What would you have said if this existed when you were a child?
