Our Life In Pictures – Visiting The Flea Market
We live on the Central Coast and have a few Flea Markets near us – in Santa Maria, Nipomo and San Luis Obispo. Frank and I have been to the one in San Luis Obispo once before (at the drive-in location), but it was right before they closed down on Sunday. So we thought we would hit it up again this weekend with the boys. We all had a great time!
The biggest find of the day = FREE Fishing Poles! That’s right, I said free! Frank was teaching the boys how to negotiate on price and Dallen was looking at these red fishing poles. He leaned over, looked at them and then asked the seller how much he was asking for the fishing poles. The man asked him who they would be for and Dallen and Sam stepped forward and said, “Us.” So then the man said, “For you, they’re free.” Dallen couldn’t believe what had just happened. He didn’t end up spending any money that day at the Flea Market!
Brian purchased a brand new skateboard. They were asking $30 and he bought it for $50. The skateboard would normally retail for $80 in the stores. Sam bought a bag of marbles ($1.00), 4 Hot Wheels Cars in the package ($0.75 each) and one motorcycle toy ($0.50 – they were asking $0.75). Frank bought a bongo drum ($20.00 – they were asking $25.00).
It was a really fun weekend and I can’t wait to see what treasures we find the next time we go to the San Luis Obispo Flea Market! Afterwards, he headed to Subway for a yummy lunch. It was a weekend of family fun!
What was your best find at a Flea Market, Swap Meet, Garage Sale or Thrift Store?
I love swamp meets, would love to go to one. Looks like the boys really had fun.
The swap meet was a lot of fun! Interesting to see all the different things people are trying to get rid of.
I have not been to one of these for years they are so fun and I love getting a great deal looks like you guys had a blast.
Heather – we had a lot of fun, especially the boys when they bought something – ha ha. I love getting a great deal too.
