Pillsbury Celebrate More Fall Product 1

I love to bake and can always find something good to whip up with Pillsbury products.  As part of the Pillsbury Celebrate More Program, I received various goodies to sample in our home.  The Pillsbury products included Perfectly Pumpkin Cake Mix, Perfectly Pumpkin Premium Cookie Mix, Caramel Apple Premium Cookie Mix, Caramel Apple Frosting and Pumpkin Crème Premium Cake Mix.  I decided that the first product I was gonna bake up was the Pumpkin Crème Cake.

Pillsbury Pumpkin Creme Cake 1

Pillsbury Pumpkin Crème Cake

Ingredients:

For cake:

– Box of Pillsbury Pumpkin Crème Cake Mix
– 1/3 cup oil
– 1 cup water
– 3 eggs

For filling:

– 2 tbsp oil
– 2 tbsp water

Directions:

1 – Set your oven to 350°.  Prepare the Bundt pan to keep the cake from sticking by lightly coating the bottom of the pan with baking spray with flour or using shortening and a flour dusting.

2 – Combine cake mix, oil, water and eggs in a large bowl.  Stir until moistened.  Beat with a mixer on medium speed for 2 minutes or whisky by hand for 2 minutes.

3 – Combine filling mix, oil and water in small bowl.  Stir until blended.

4 – Pour the cake batter into the prepared pan; spread evenly.  Spoon the prepared filling evening in a ring over the center of the cake batter.  Be sure the filling does not touch the sides of the pan.

5 – Bake at 350°F for 39-43 minutes.  Cool upright in the pan for 45 minutes, then invert onto a serving plate.  Cool the cake completely before frosting.  Store loosely covered.

Both the kids and adults in our family loved this recipe when it was baked and ready to eat.  Plus, it was so easy to prepare!!!  There are so many yummy goodies to bake up this Fall with Pillsbury products.  Next on the list is either the Pumpkin Cake Mix (making cupcakes) or the Pumpkin Cookie Mix.

What would be the first Pillsbury product of the Fall line that you would bake up in your home?

  4. The Pillsbury Pumpkin Crème Cake looks so delicious! I did not even know until today that there are so many wonderful desserts from Pillsbury that look easy to make. I will have to get some this Holiday season. I would love to make the cookies and the Cake you made!

  5. I love making new and fun things for the Holidays and these are great I didn’t know they carried these products thanks for sharing this one and have a great day.

  7. My family just loves anything pumpkin. I have looked for these products in my grocery store but they didn’t have them yet.

  8. Ok, first Pillsbury new fall product I’d try was going to be the Carmel Apple Cake, however, reading ans seeing this post, it’s definitely now going to be the Pumpkin Creme. 🙂

  9. there is just something about Fall and baking… I love to get into the season by filling the house with wonderful smells and make great treats for the family. These mixes are excellent choices because pumpkin and apples are 2 Fall staples, and will work great for those that don’t like pie during the holidays. I can’t wait to try them out!

  10. I made this pumkin cream cake exactly like the directions and it was a disaster. The filling did not sink. The cake rose and the filling stayed on the top. I have made filled cakes many times before and have never had this happen. I will not buy this product again.

  11. I found these for such a low price at Super Stop & Shop just prior to Christmas – I made a couple of them & they turned out pretty good! I just didn’t care for the taste of the oil I used (canola). I don’t bake much & would have preferred using butter rather than the direction’s liquid oil & instead of the water – to use milk, but wasn’t sure if that could possibly spoil the process of needing the creme to layer properly? If ingredients like that could be used, Pillsbury would have offered that option, right?
