Costume Express 2

In many families across the country, dressing up in costume happens once a year, usually around Halloween time.  This is not the case in our family though.  Ever since they were little, my boys have loved to dress up in their superhero and television show character costumes!  As one who grew up as the oldest of four girls, I had no idea who the different superheroes were, but I do now and that’s in big part due to my boys’ excitement and desire to dress up in costume.

Now that my boys are older, the excitement of dressing up is still there, but has faded away somewhat.  I find that rather than dressing up and using their imagination to engage in creative play, they are often times in front of the television screen or electronic devices watching shows or playing games.  So when I had the opportunity to purchase costumes for them from Costume Express, and flex their creative muscles, I jumped on it!  Plus, they were pretty stoked as well to be able to browse the Costume Express site and pick out their very own costume.

Costume Express site

The Costume Express site was really easy to search through and I was surprised by what a large selection of costumes I found.  The boys had a blast looking at all the different costumes and found it somewhat challenging to choose just one but they found them.  Brian chose a The Amazing Spider-Man Classic Kids Costume.  Dallen chose a Green Lantern – Hal Jordan Muscle Child Costume.  Sammy chose an Iron Man 3 Patriot Classic Muscle Child Costume.  You can see more about our shopping experience HERE.

As a blogger, I get a lot of packages from UPS and FedEx, but the boys were particularly excited to receive the one coming from Costume Express.  As soon as the package arrived, we opened it up and the boys excitedly grabbed for their costume.  It was within a matter of a minute that they tore open the costume packages and started putting them on.  I didn’t even get a chance to take a picture with them and the package before opening them!

The boys put on their costumes and started posing for the camera and running around the house playing the different superhero characters.  Heck, they even started searching for gloves to add on and props to play with.  It started making me wish I had purchased those extras to go with their costumes, but regardless, they were engaging in fun, imaginative play.  The youngest one even wanted to pack his costume for our Maui trip, but there wasn’t rom.  It was awesome!

Doesn’t it sound awesome to get the kids away from the screen and more engaged in imaginary play?  Well, you can with Costume Express!  For a limited time, you can receive FREE shipping for orders over $75 and 15% off when you sign up with your email.

It is so much fun Krystyn and I love that they use their imagination rather than sitting in front of a video game or movie on the tv screen. 🙂

I love it when they dress up and it isn’t Halloween. We used to even go to the grocery store in their costumes – lol
