Wendy’s Made a Difference This Father’s Day + Giveaway

Wendy's Fathers Day

I am part of The Motherhood blogger network.  The Motherhood and Wendy’s partnered in support of this campaign.  Wendy’s compensated me for participation in this campaign.  However, all thoughts and opinions are my own.

What did you do this past Father’s Day weekend?  We were traveling and spending time as a couple in Las Vegas and having a fabulous time.  At Wendy’s, customers and fans were heading to the restaurant and buying Frosty treats for their families.  Over Father’s Day weekend, when you bought a cold and delicious Frosty, Wendy’s donated 50 cents to the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption.  Customers could even donate by purchasing a Frosty pin-up for $1.  Wendy’s donated an additional 25 cents to the Foundation for every Frosty Card sent.  In 2012, the Father’s Day Frosty Campaign raised more than $1.4 million.

Wendy's fathers day frosty weekend

Wendy’s did an awesome job of collecting donations for the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption.  They not only collected 50 cents from each Frosty purchase (including the new Frosty Waffle Cone), but they also collected donations via Facebook and Twitter.  Wendy’s fans shared their first Frosty memories with the #FirstFrosty hashtag.  For each story, image or video, Wendy’s donated $1, up to $50,000.

I can’t remember my first frosty, but I do have memories of dipping my fries into my frosty. Something about a salty fry on a wendy’s frosty was so good as a kid (heck, even as an adult).

  2. I had my first Frosty when my daughter had her first….years ago. It’s when Wendy’s finally came to our neighborhood.
    Thanks!

  3. My first frosty memory wasn’t about the first frosty I had (I can’t remember that).. but it was when I discovered how delicious it is to dip your wendy’s fries into the frosty and eat it like that! Yumm!!

  4. My first Frosty memory is my brother dipping his Wendy’s French fries in his Frosty! Since they went to the new fries, he doesn’t like the combo anymore

  5. I don’t remember my first Frosty, but I do remember the first time I tried dipping my fries in a Frosty- DELICIOUS!!

  6. I remember going with my family to a Wendy’s in Southfield, Michigan when I was a child and not realizing the store wasn’t open to the public yet. The owner was having a private party there. We unknowingly, crashed the party and got all our food for free. It was my first time trying a frostie and it was true love

When i was about ten, they built a Weny’s down the street for us. I had never been there before so it was a treat. My aunt took us there to eat for our weekends out and she had us try one. It was one of the best things I had ever had. I miss those weekends going with her to get a frosty

  9. i remember that i liked to dip the fries in the frosty when i was little, it was always such a treat
