Last weekend, our family had the opportunity to attend the Hyundai Epic Playdate in Goleta, California at the Dos Pueblos Ranch and it was so much fun!  Not only did I connect with an amazing brand, but it was an awesome family bonding experience!  Frank and I took our six kids (4 boys and 2 girls) and were so excited for the bond experiences we were about to have with our family!

The kids and us had a blast with tons of food, paper rockets, balloon sculptures, sand sculpture, and more!  Plus, they had a paint war – yes, a paint war!  Dallen got the brunt of it and was covered in yellow paint (thanks to his big sister, Teah – lol)!

I was really excited because I had the chance to meet some blogging friends for the first time – and others I’ve known for a long time!  It started out with Tonya Staab from Collective Bias.  I’ve known this girl for a couple of years, but this was my first time meeting her in real life!  Then I met up with a long time blogging friend, Caryn Bailey from Rockin’ Mama!

We started the day with making paper rockets, which was quite the task!  However, once we figured it out, it was an awesome time!  Thank goodness I have a boyfriend who knows how to build things!  Plus, the kids had a blast sending their rockets high up into the air.  We actually talked about recreating the event as a family some time in the future.

After making and playing with our Paper Rockets, we headed over to the Balloon Sculpture Station.  It was so much fun – for both the kids and the parents!  The boys learned to make swords and flowers with stems.  They also got a few extra special balloons.  It would definitely be a lot of fun to have the Balloon Sculpture guys at a birthday party or another event in the future!

After the Balloon Sculptures, the family  headed over to the Sand Art Station.  They had a bunch of different colors of sand and a bunch of different areas for the kids to create their own drawings and artwork.  It was pretty awesome!  Heck, even I wanted to do a portion!

After the Sand Art Station, the family went through the Ice Cream Buffet line.  The kids had a blast picking out their flavors of ice cream and putting toppings on them.  We will definitely be having ice cream bars during the summertime!

The boys had a blast putting together foil costumes!  It was a lot harder to do than I thought it would be, but I managed to make Dallen armor to put over his chest, leg covers, and a bow and arrow.  The EMT crew was super nice and went around with duct tape helping to tape the outfits together.

After the foil armor session, everyone headed over to a paint fight.  Yes, a paint fight!  They covered the kids with ponchos and gave them little water balloons, sponges and water guns filled with paint.  Dallen got a lot of paint in his hair.  Thank goodness it was easy to wash out of his hair!

Plus, there was a gorgeous Hyundai Santa Fe on display at the event.  What a gorgeous car!  I would love to test drive one some day in the near future!  A big thanks to Hyundai and Clever Girls Collective for this awesome event and bonding time to experience with our family.

I was selected for this opportunity as a member of Clever Girls Collective, and the content and opinions expressed here are all my own.
