Make a Child’s Wish Come True on April 29th – It’s World Wish Day!!!
For a long time, I’d known of the Make-a-Wish® Foundation, but I didn’t really truly understand it until I went to the Red Carpet at the Grammy’s. That was when I saw firsthand what Make-A-Wish was all about.
Frank and I arrived to the event and took our seat in the bleachers. In front of us was an empty row and it extended across the two sections of bleachers. We were curious who was gonna be sitting in these seats. Then we learned that some children from the Make-A-Wish Foundation had the opportunity to take pictures, get autographs, and shake hands with various celebrities walking up the red carpet to enter the Grammy’s. It was a truly amazing and inspiring experience.
I heard celebrities complimenting the children, hugging them, signing autographs and taking pictures with them. I saw the excitement on the children’s faces as they were the focus of the night by the celebrities. I felt their excitement and found myself a dmiring many different celebrities that I hadn’t before. It was awesome!
April 29th is World Wish Day and the Make-A-Wish Foundation needs our help! You can donate either miles or dollars to help make a child’s wish come true. What an awesome cause! How will you make a child’s wish come true today?
This year, 10,000 wish kids and their families will travel for a Make-A-Wish® experience. That’s 50,000 roundtrip tickets or 2.5 billion frequent flier miles. In honor of World Wish Day®, the day of the wish that inspired the founding of Make-A-Wish, visit wish.org/tickets and donate miles and dollars – and help wish kids take flight.
