We live here on the Central Coast and I have several friends who are avid Mustangs fans. That’s right – Cal Poly at San Luis Obispo is our local college and they have both a men’s and women’s basketball team! We were excited to turn ESPN on and watch our local team play their best and hopefully get into the finals at the office, but were not allowed to do so. We didn’t cancel the event, but instead, moved it home. To show our excitement, we all wore green and gold. This was perfect with St. Patrick’s Day just around the corner as well! We had a blast!
So, we got the girls together and routed for the Cal Poly Men’s Basketball team – all while socializing and snacking on goodies. There were a lot of goodies too! We had a potluck and different people brought different things. I provided the treats, which included Coke Zero to drink, Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, Reese’s Easter Pastel Eggs and green and yellow Peeps.
One of the party guests even brought a bottle of Cal Poly wine. How fun is that? We had a blast watching the game and hanging out with each other. Plus, Cal Poly won! Woot woot!!!
At the end of the game, we had a drawing and there were two lucky winners who received a goodie basket filled with Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups candy and Coke Zero! Congrats to Caroline and Chantelle. They were stoked to win and couldn’t wait to dig into their sweet reward!
