AT&T It Can Wait + Giveaway

AT&T it can wait image

I love watching “Glee” and if you were like me, you were heart broken when Quinn Fabray crashed her car on the way to Rachel Berry and Finn Hudsen’s impromptu wedding.  The car crash left her in a wheelchair for a period of time and the accident was completely avoidable.  If you remember, Quinn was texting while driving and wasn’t paying attention to the road.  The lack of attention to the road resulted in a collision with her car and a truck.  It was so real because there are many people who text while they drive.

AT&T is encouraging cell phone users everywhere to take the “It Can Wait” Pledge.  What does it mean to take the “It Can Wait” Pledge?  It means that you agree that “No text message, email, website, or video is worth the risk of endangering [your] or the lives of others on the road.  [You] pledge to never text and drive and will take action to educate others about the dangers of texting while driving.  No text is worth the risk.  It can wait.”

As a part of taking the pledge, you can enter to win an awesome prize package!  The prize package will include a brand new Samsung Galaxy SIII phone ($549.99 value), a case, a t-shirt, two thumb bands, two “It Can Wait” stickers and a promo code for one large device SkinIt.

I have taken the “It Can Wait” Pledge. It is actually illegal to text while driving in Illinois and the state house of representatives actually passed a law this past week outlawing using a cell phone without a hands free device. The state senate still has to pass it though so who knows if it will actually become a law.

saw a great bumper sticker – “Honk if you love Jesus – Text if you’d like to meet him. #ItCanWait ” I took the pledge 🙂

  5. I have taken the pledge before time and time again, texting and driving is a huge issue, especially in this generation.

  6. Taking the pledge is a no brainer as far as I am concerned. Anything that takes the driver’s mind off the road is a form of a suicide wish, and texting while driving is certainly a decision rather than an unexpected happening.
