I live on the Central Coast and recently discovered a new Smart & Final opening in my hometown.  I was thrilled to be invited to the Grand Opening Preview of the 56th Smart & Final (the 3rd one on the Central Coast)!  Smart & Final is located on 1464 E. Grand Ave. in Arroyo Grande, California. The Grand Opening will be on October 24th at 6:00 a.m. and FREE SmartCash Cards will be given to the first 250 guests.  The SmartCash Cards will include the following amounts: $20, $30, $50 and $100.

I had the opportunity to bring my boyfriend, Frank, with me to the Grand Opening Preview. We entered the store and were greeted by a worker at a table who was giving name badges to the guests.  We wrote our names on our badges and put them on.  We met up with another blogger attending the event and hung out with her for the rest of the night.  I also met up with one of the Corporate Officers, whom I previously met at the Smart & Final Grand Opening in Bakersfield.  We had a chance to talk and I was really flattered when he remembered my post about the Grand Opening in Bakersfield, as well as some of my recipe posts for Smart & Final – including Porcupine Meatballs and Chicken Divan.

At the event, there was wine, soda, water, and sparkling cider.  There was also delicious steak, chicken, salsa, salad, and bread.  Then for dessert, we had the choice of ice cream or cheesecake.  We chose the cheesecake and it was good!

As we walked through the store and looked at all the different products and brands available, the only thought I had was, “I really wanna go shopping now!”  Well, I’ll have that opportunity tomorrow morning at the Grand Opening – starting at 6:00 a.m.  Who knows – maybe I’ll even get there in time to receive one of the SmartCash Cards.

After eating, socializing and walking around the store, it was time to hear from some of the people who made this new Smart & Final happen!  Smart & Final even made two big donations to local organizations.  They donated $2,500 to the Arroyo Grande Valley Little League and $2,500 to the Boys & Girls Club of South San Luis Obispo.

Be sure to stop by the new Smart & Final in Arroyo Grande, California!  Also, check out my Google+ album with even more pictures from this event.
