If you have kids, you know that kids are exposed to all sorts of germs – at school, from each other, from traveling.  When we think of bacteria, many of us immediately have a negative reaction.  However, not all bacteria is bad.  You have good bacteria and then you have great bacteria, like Culturelle.  Culturelle is perfect for keeping kids healthy while you’re traveling with kids.

Culturelle Kids supports digestion.  It’s great for helping to reduce the occasional digestive upset (we all know this is no fun at all, especially when you’re traveling).  It supports your child’s natural defenses.  Culturelle is the perfect solution for digestive discomfort and poor health.

Culturelle Kids acts as a powerful booster.  It boosts digestive health, which in turn has a positive impact on overall health and community. It provides the ongoing maintenance for a healthy digestive tract.  70% of your immune system is in your digestive tract, so a healthy and balanced digestive system plays a vital role in strengthening your child’s overall health and well being.

When your children use Culturelle Kids, you can rest assured that it is a trusted product by many.  It’s trusted by parents, pediatricians, and is the #1 probiotic that pediatricians recommend.  This is a great solution for those illnesses may arise on family vacations.  Culturelle Kids products include the easy-to-mix packets and the chewables (berry flavored).

Have you ever heard that the day before Thanksgiving is the busiest travel day of the year?  Not so.  It has been found that most summer weekends far surpass holidays in terms of travel volume.  In 2011, nearly 185 million Americans took summer vacations, and that number is expected to rise in 2012.  What is the one thing that parents dread the most when taking a vacation with kids?  It’s not temper tantrums or avoiding boredom, but is illness.

A recent study commissioned by Culturelle Priobiotic, a leading national probiotic supplement brand, found that nearly half (47%) of vacationing families reported having had a child get sick on vacation, resulting in costs to the vacation budget, as well as the highly-anticipated fun.  Some of the costs include: having to miss or cancel pre-planned activities, cutting a vacation short to return home early, spending time finding medical care or having a parent stay behind with a fussing child while others took in the sites.

We love to visit family, which often involves taking road trips out of town.  On our last trip to visit family a few hours away, I was by myself with the boys.  We were on a highway and suddenly my youngest son felt sick.  Fortunately, there was a Ziploc storage bag in the car for him to hold on to and use if he thought he was going to be sick.  Plus, there was Culturelle.  With kids, we know that taking capsules is just not in the cards.  So how else do I give them the probiotics?  Easy!  I used the Culturelle Kids Probiotic Packets.

I mixed the packet with some applesauce and he ate it all up.  He didn’t even know it was in there.  Let me tell you, the stuff worked!  His tummy felt better and we had a great trip!  If only more parents knew about Culturelle Kids!

Culturelle is the only probiotic supplement brand in the U.S. containing 100% Lactobacillus GG, one of the most scientifically studied probiotic strains for digestive health and immune support.  It helps restore the natural balance of good bacteria in the digestive tract to help alleviate occasional digestive distress as well as support a child’s own natural defenses.  Culturelle Kids Probiotic Packets contain an easy-to-mix powder perfect for children weighing 25 to 50 pounds.

The next time you take a family trip, be sure to grab Culturelle and Culturelle Kids to keep your family feeling well and the maximum enjoyment possible!

Probiotics are great, and it is nice that there are formulas for children.

    I’m a believer in probiotics.

But I’m not sure how I’d feel about them if I had young children as it relates to them using them.

I like that they have chewables. I didn’t know that kids get sick that frequently in general. Nearly half of vacations hit that little obstacle.
