ABOUT THE FILM

The new 3D stop-motion comedy thriller from animation company LAIKA, reteaming the company with Focus Features after the groundbreaking Academy Award-nominated Coraline. ParaNorman is, following Coraline, the company’s second stop-motion animated feature to be made in 3D.

In ParaNorman, a small town comes under siege by zombies. Who can it call? Only misunderstood local boy Norman (Kodi Smit-McPhee), who is able to speak with the dead. In addition to the zombies, he’ll have to take on ghosts, witches and, worst, of all, grown-ups, to save his town from a centuries-old curse. But this young ghoul whisperer may find his paranormal activities pushed to their otherworldly limits.

  3. I find it interesting that something could be scary but still appeal to my children, my son is rather timid yet has watched the trailer for this and wants to see it.

  4. My daughter and I went to see ParaNorman this past weekend. What fascinated me most was that the movie was a great balance of horrific and humorous, grotesque zombies were made light-hearted.

  5. I find it interesting that it has zombies in it for kids but, my grandchildren love it. I want to thank you for his awesome sweep and hope to win 🙂 Thanks !!!!!!!!

  6. I love how they did the stop animation by printing out the different pieces and putting them on instead of molding them one frame at a time 🙂 An interesting new way to do it 🙂

  7. One interesting thing about ParaNorman is that the digital aspects of the film was seamlessly combined with more traditional stop-motion parts of the film. I couldn’t tell if it was CGI or pure stop-motion, that’s exciting.

  8. It’s interesting that it’s a scary movie for kids. My grandsons saw it and one was scared but the other one loved it.

  10. The attention to detail in ParaNorman are amazing! There are hundreds of tiny objects, like his alarm clock, that make up Norman’s world and ground it in reality.

  11. I find that it’s interesting a small town comes under attack by zombies, not long I seen a thing on how to protect your home from zombies!

  12. I like that the movie teaches tolerance and understanding of the unknown and the misunderstood. Really enjoyed seeing this last week with my son!

  13. We saw the movie yesterday. Kids liked it, I’m on the fence. Has some adult humor and a little dark. But like the anti-bully message.

  14. I like that the movie has zombies in it, my kids and teenagers really are loving all the shows with zombies in them right now.

  15. I think it is interesting that the movie is about zombies. Zombies have been a craze in so many movies…but this is the only animated zombie movie that I know of!

  16. I love this because it’s something our whole family can watch together. With boys age 9, 13 and 15, that’s not always easy to find.
