“The Lucky One” on Blu-ray & DVD + Giveaway!!!

On August 28th, 2012, Warner Home Entertainment is releasing The Lucky One on Blu-ray, DVD, and Digital Download.  Based on best-selling author Nicholas Sparks’ best-selling book, The Lucky One follows a war veteran who finds a mysterious photo of a beautiful woman that leads him to a timeless romance.  The Lucky One will be available on Blu-ray Combo Pack for $35.99 and on single disc DVD for $28.98.  The Blu-ray Combo Pack features the theatrical version of the film in hi-definition on Blu-ray, and the theatrical version in standard definition on DVD.  Both the Blu-ray Combo Pack and the single disc DVD include UltraViolet which allows consumers to download and instantly stream the standard definition theatrical version of the film to a wide range of devices including computers and compatible tablets, smartphones, game consoles, Internet-connected TVs and Blu-ray players.

SYNOPSIS

Based on Nicholas Sparks’ bestseller The Lucky One, Zac Efron (“17 Again,” “Charlie St. Cloud”) stars alongside Taylor Schilling (TV’s “Mercy”) and Blythe Danner (“Meet the Parents” franchise) in this romantic drama directed by Academy Award®-nominated writer/director Scott Hicks (“Shine,” “No Reservations”).  U.S. Marine Sergeant Logan Thibault (Efron) returns from his third tour of duty in Iraq, with the one thing he credits with keeping him alive—a photograph he found of a woman he doesn’t even know. Learning her name is Beth (Schilling) and where she lives, he shows up at her door, and ends up taking a job at her family-run local kennel. Despite her initial mistrust and the complications in her life, a romance develops between them, giving Logan hope that Beth could be much more than his good luck charm.

I love romantic movies and those inspired by Nicholas Sparks are definitely among some of my favorites!  Here are 10 things I learned from Nicholas Sparks love scenes (with the help from my friends on Facebook):

1 – The guy should always life me up before entering the bedroom

2 – There should be water (rain or a shower head will do)

3 – Love unconditionally

4 – Somebody is going to die…And you are going to cry.

5 – Love is hard and trying but as long as you stay strong and fight for what is real and important, all will work out.

6 –  The guy should always screw up but after some sort of intervention make a big, sweet move to get the girl to listen to him profess his love.

7 – You can fall in love with a rich man just as easily as a poor one.

8 – You should write all of your memories about your significant other in narrative form so that you can read it back to them later.

9 – Absence makes the heart grow fonder.

10 – If you aren’t sure how to express your emotions in words, write them in a letter.

    I am the lucky one in my relationship becuase my husband does amazing things like take me to the play I want to see or buy me the camera I have been wanting. But I am more lucky because when I call him stressed out with baby and ask him to come home he does and takes over baby duties!! 🙂

    I am a Lucky One . My husband and I celebrated our 42nd Anniversary on Aug 29th. It hasn’t always been a walk in the park but we have survived and worked through any difficulties. I did tell him on our 40th that I would not be doing another 40 with him. I would be 104 and he would be 110.
