“I’m singing in the rain, just singing in the rain, what a glorious feelin, I’m happy again….”  I love this movie!  It brings back good memories from my childhood.  On The Mommy-Files, I have a special giveaway to celebrate the 60th Anniversary of the Singin’ in the Rain Ultimate Collector’s Edition!  The set was released by Warner Brothers on July 17, 2012.

SYNOPSIS

Gene Kelly, Donald O’Connor and Debbie Reynolds in a 60th-anniversary Ultimate Collector’s Edition newly remastered in 2011 4K transfer of the best-loved Hollywood musical ever-filled with memorable songs, lavish routines and Kelly’s fabulous song-and-dance number performed in the rain.

    I absolutely love this movie! I’ve been holding off getting it on DVD, waiting for the Blu-ray to come out. Now that you’ve alerted me to this awesome Collector’s Edition, I’m really hoping to win this! One thing I like about it– it comes with 3 discs, both Blu-ray and DVD, and there are more bonus features than on the single Blu-ray release. And the other items in the package are really great, too! Gonna keep my fingers crossed!

    I would like to win because though I am a big movie fan, musicals comprise a big hole in my movie knowledge. I have been told many times that this is a movie I should watch, so this would be a great way to watch and rewatch a film that is considered one of the best musicals ever made.

    “Singin’ in the Rain” is such a classic movie with great stars, great music, and great dancing. It’s interesting that the theme of the movie—transitioning from silent movies to talkies—was used in “The Artist,” the 2012 Oscar winner (this time with no sound, but some dancing).

    I adore this movie. Love singing along with all the great songs. One of my favorite parts is when they are singing the song “Good Mornin'”. Love it!

    SINGIN’ IN THE RAIN is a classic movie musical, often considered one of the best movie musicals (if not THE best movie musical) of all time. Since you can watch it again and again — it is a film that stands the test of time — it would be great to win the Singin’ in the Rain Ultimate Collector’s Edition

    Whenever I see this giveaway I get excited! Our family went on vacation years ago and our daughter saw a lamp post and had our son do this pose on it and she tookk a picture! We still talk about it and love that picture! My son has never seen this movie and I would love to give this to him and have us all watch it together! A fun family night!

    Here are some of the reasons why I want to win one of the two SINGIN’ IN THE RAIN Ultimate Collector’s Edition sets:
    1. It is an upbeat film that, unlike so many others, tells a story about the entertainment industry that many non-entertainment industry professionals enjoy
    2. It is a classic movie musical that includes both traditional and modern dance numbers, including some ballet … and it works well
    3. It reflects on movies’ transition from silent films to talkies in a humorous manner
    4. If it includes 4K images in the set, when TV’s transition to 4K sets from the current 1080p sets, it would be good to go on the new sets, too
