Directed by Brad Peyton, “Journey 2: The Mysterious Island” features a star-studded cast including Dwayne Johnson (Race to Witch Mountain, Tooth Fairy), Luis Guzmán (Anger Management, Boogie Nights), Vanessa Hudgens (High School Musical, Beastly), Josh Hutcherson (The Hunger Games), Academy Award® winner Michael Caine (The Cider House Rules, The Dark Knight) and Kristin Davis (Sex and the City, Couples Retreat).

The Blu-ray 3D Combo Pack, Blu-ray Combo Pack and DVD include UltraViolet that allows consumers to download and instantly stream the film to many available computers, tablets and smartphones. The Journey 2: The Mysterious Island Blu-ray 3D Combo Pack features a 3D hi-definition, a hi-definition, a standard definition copy of the film and UltraVioletfor $44.95; the Blu-ray Combo Pack features a hi-definition, a standard definition copy of the film and UltraViolet for $35.99; and the single disc DVD features a standard definition copy of the film and UltraViolet for $28.98.

JOURNEY 2: THE MYSTERIOUS ISLAND DVD SYNOPSIS:

The follow-up to the 2008 hit! The new journey begins when young adventurer Sean (Josh Hutcherson) receives a coded distress signal from a mysterious island where no island should exist—a place of strange life forms, mountains of gold, deadly volcanoes, and more than one astonishing secret. Unable to stop him from going, Sean’s new stepfather (Dwayne Johnson) joins the quest that will take them first to the South Pacific, and to a place few people have ever seen or lived to tell.  It’s a place of stunning beauty, strange and threatening life forms, volcanoes, mountains of gold and more than one astonishing secret.  Together with Gabato (Luis Guzman), the only helicopter pilot willing to risk the trip, and his beautiful, strong-willed daughter Kailani (Vanessa Hudgens), they set out to find the island, rescue its lone inhabitant and escape before seismic shockwaves force the island under the sea and bury its treasures forever.

    It all depends on how long I will be staying. If only for a single day, I would bring a camera and plenty of water. If it were for an undefined period of time, I would take a compass and a knife if I could bring only two things. (Ideally, I would bring a tent, camp stove, mess kit, sleeping bag, backpack, and plenty of food and water.)
