What is the first thing you do when you see your child has a scrape or cut?  You hug your child, let him or her know everything will be all right, and grab a Band-Aid to make everything better, right?  For nearly 100 years, moms (and dads and grandparents while we’re at it) have relied on the iconic BAND-AID® Brand to heal their kids’ cuts and scrapes.  Now, with the launch of a first-of-its-kind mobile application, Band-Aid Brand Magic Vision featuring Disney’s The Muppets, parents can help their kids forget about their boo boos and turn those traumatic moments of hurt into moments of healing and virtual fun!

The new free Band-Aid Brand Magic Vision app virtually entertains your child during that moment of pain. When your kids get a cut or scrape, simply scan your Muppets bandage or box with the Band-Aid Brand Magic Vision app, and instantly watch the Muppets characters jump off their bandage and come to life, all ready to play!

Now, the Band-Aid Brand Adhesive Bandages featuring the Muppets serve as a magical portal that unlocks personalized experiences with the Muppets characters-kids can swing with Kermit the Frog as he sings a serenade, strike a pose with Miss Piggy, or aid Gonzo the Great on his daring act of lunacy. Kids can also take pictures of themselves or their friends interacting with the characters while using the app.

You want a tip for adding even more fun to your Band-Aid Magic Vision with the Muppets experience?  For Kermit, if you tilt your device back and forth he swings more!  For Gonzo, your child will shake the device to get him “unstuck.”  Plus, you can take pictures through your device during their interaction with the characters.

The Band-Aid Magic Vision application uses Augmented Reality technology to merge your child’s real-life surroundings with graphics displayed on the digital screen to unlock a special world where Disney’s The Muppets characters come to life to distract your child from their boo boo.  The App is available for download for FREE on the iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPad 2, or new iPad.  Downloading the app is easy.  Simply visit your App Store and search for “Muppets Band-Aid” and the “Muppets Band-Aid Magic Vision” app will come up.  Click on the app.  Click on “FREE” and then click on “INSTALL.”  Wait for your app to download and then let your child interact with the app to his or her heart’s content.

I used both my iPhone 4S and my brand new iPad to use the Band-Aid Magic Vision App featuring the Muppets and my boys LOVED it!!  They especially loved taking the pictures of anything and everything.  As if the Band-Aid wasn’t fun enough, the Magic Vision App will distract your child from the cut or scrape and turn tears into laughs.  I really loved the “show” with Kermit the Frog where he sings and plays the instrument while he swings back and forth on a swing in the air in the theater.
