Chrysler Blogger Face-Off + Giveaway!!

Over the past few days, I have had an INCREDIBLE experience with the true power of Social Media – “Word of Mouth.”  I was super excited to be invited by a team member from Chrysler to participate in a “Chrysler Blogger Face-Off” between myself and 4 other amazing bloggers!  If you know me, you know that the past few years have been filled with lots of challenges – becoming a Single Mom, living on my own for the first time with my boys, and more.  So, when I have amazing opportunities like this come my way, I savor the moment!

Voting started yesterday and I was SICK!  Sick, sick, sick – fever, aches, chills, sweating….it was horrible.  It wasn’t the first day either – more like Day 4!  Thank goodness for amazing people in my life to help make things better.  Today, I was feeling like Shannon again – thank goodness!  Wasn’t sure when I’d see that mama again!  So, this morning, I got busy networking again.  I’ve networked in real life, meeting and finding people I met through Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and more.  I emailed them letting them know about the contest and asking if they would cast their vote.  I went from #59 to #185 this afternoon – that is going from 5th place to 3rd!  Now, I’m about 19 votes from 2nd place and 56 votes from 1st place.  This could all change in a day of course, but hey, I’m loving it today, right?!!!

Did I happen to mention that the winner also gets to GIVE AWAY an IPAD on his/her blog?????  Who here wants an IPAD????

    i was born and raised in NYC 🙂 my favorite place to go is anywhere in soho! love the stores, restaurants, bars. i live in DC now (moved a few months ago) and still visit NYC once every two months, love it.

    We just got back from a 4 day visit to NYC last week! Saw a show, Central Park, Museum of Natural History, Times Square etc.

    I voted earlier today and am not sure how to find what vote number I am. I have been to NYC twice and loved Central Park, Statue of Liberty, Empire State Bldg., Broadway, Times Square, and I think my favorite thing was the Tenement Museum (so interesting!) Oh, and the Metropolitan Museum of Art was fabulous! We spent a whole day there and didn’t see even a fraction of the art, but seeing Van Gogh’s and Rembrandt’s and Monet’s in person is awesome!

    I’ve been to NY before. It was three days after my daughter died. It was to be her last wish trip, only she died before it took place.

    The trip is a blur. I’m told that we were even bumped up to first class…and I honestly have no recollection of that.

    I’m vote # 1065 (you’re in second place right now) and we were in NYC last May. My favorite place to go is a broadway theater (to be determined based upon the show at the time). Top of the Rock at night is also very, very cool and much better than Empire State Bldg because of the 360 view and proximity to Central Park.

    I haven’t been to NYC yet but I plan to someday!
    I’m not sure what my voter # is, I voted last night before I saw this giveaway (voted from your facebook page) but I guess I voted after midnight last night because it’s saying my vote has already been counted for the day… I voted though, I promise! I want to say it was 260 something.

    Not sure if I did it right but vote went to 341 when the chart came up to compare. I have never been to NY before and my husband said he would NEVER go there. So, guess if I am ever to see the sites, it will have to be with me and my girls someday!

    I’m not sure what number I was today but I was 710 yesterday. ;D I’ve been to NYC several times. My husband lived there years ago and I call him New York aka NY. The one place I have to go every single time I visit NYC is Ray’s Pizza. Love it!!

    Oops, forgot to write about NYC. I was actually just there for V-day to cover the Toy Fair!! It was a lot of fun. Hubby and I loved Times Square!!!

    In NYC, one of my favorite places is Madame Tussaud’s Wax Museum in Times Square. I also like the Empire State Bldg. and the Statue of Liberty.
