Super Bowl Fun with Wilton

For Super Bowl Sunday, I was in charge of bringing dessert.  I wanted to do something that was “Super Bowl” inspired.  So, I googled some fun ideas for Super Bowl.  There were so many cute ideas out there, including Chocolate Covered Strawberries that looked like footballs.  Unfortunately, I didn’t have any strawberries….but there is always next year, right?  So this year, I decided to go with Football themed Brownies and Cupcakes.

For the cupcakes, I baked Devil’s Food Cupcakes (without the baking cups) using the Wilton Cupcake Pan. If you’re making lighter colored cupcakes, a Green Baking Cup or Football themed Baking Cup would be super cute.  I used the 1M tip to do the football shaped icing in the center.  Then I used the 4 Tip to make the white seams on the center of the footballs.  Wah lah!  You have Super Bowl Cupcakes.

For the brownies, I made them according to the box and baked them in a 9 x 13 pan.  When cool, I used a Football Shaped Cookie Cutter to cut out the football shapes (from the 101 Cookie Cutter Set by Wilton).  Then I used the 4 Tip to draw the seams on the football seams.  They were a hit….or a touchdown?

I received no compensation for this post.  All opinions expressed in this post are 100% mine.

  1. Fun!!! We most usually have a super bowl party and if it is teams we root for we go all out. I might have to give these a try since normally I am light on desserts- I have the wings/chili and all the fixins covered.
