  1. *ehem* I gave up on resolutions years ago… (I got tired of failure… ☺) I DID tell myself THIS YEAR, I WILL NOT oversleep, though… Good thing it was not a resolution, or I’d have to add it to my list of good-intentioned failures… lol

  2. My New School Year Resolution was to get as much done the night before (lunches/backpacks/clothes) so it wasn’t chaotic in the mornng. So far it’s been running smoothly, kids get extra sleep time and Mommy’s not stressed out!

I have not made one yet. I think I’ll skip making one this coming year. I never seem to stick with it. 🙂

  4. my resolution was to let my son ride the school bus this year- like he has been wanting to do…and i’ve kept to that- it was hard at first

I’m a former teacher and Grandma now. Every school year I resolved to be more organized and to keep all of my and my son’s shiny new school supplies…well…shiny. That always lasted a few weeks.

My New School Year Resolution is to still put in time to exercise and make my lunches the night before instead of just eatting a granola bar

  9. Our New School Year Resolution has been to get the boys to start making their own lunches (with supervision, of course, so it’s not full of junk food!). So far, we’re doing well with this! Sometimes, the boys are enthusiastic. Other times, it’s a little harder to get them to cooperate. But most of the time, it’s going well.

  10. To turn off the computer before 1 am and stay up with no naps with the toddler so I can get more stuff done while kids are in school and more afternoon walks

  11. My resolution is to influence my child not to have an exceedingly full plate this schoolyear but a manageable one!

  12. Our school year resolution is a healthy breakfats NO MATTER WHAT if it means getting up earlier or going to bed earlier to get a good start..

    Thank you.

  15. My New School Year Resolution is to actually FINISH a class before I get sick and have to drop out! So far, so good *fingers crossed*

Thank you for this awesome giveaway!

  16. I made a new school year resolution to have everything done (lunches, bags, clothes) the night before. I’ve done that mostly.

  17. Yes I made a resolution to listen more to my little ones about their school day. It has worked out well – better communication all around.

  18. To have things ready the night before, we do really good the first part of the week but Thurs and Fridays are tough

  19. Yes, I made a resolution that I would keep after my kids to complete their homework and not take their “word” that they completed it. So far we’ve stuck to this.
    Thanks so much.

  23. my resolution was to have fewer sick days this year and due to a bad cold and an infection we’re not doing great

  24. I haven’t really made a resolution. I am working on getting my boys to have good habits such as learning good study habits and packing up their things at night so they aren’t looking for them at the last minute. For some reason, they just don’t get the packing up concept. Ugh.

  25. This is my daughters first year of school, so I didn’t make and resolutions this year. Next year, however I’m sure that will change.

  26. My resolution was that I would get up & cook a healthy breakfast. But with 4 kids on 4 different schedules, that hasn’t worked out as planned. They do manage to eat a healthy breakfast, I just am not cooking it:)

  27. My resolution was to be more organized and stick to our schedule better…I have failed…*sigh*.

  28. Our School year resolution is to get kids to bed on TIME and be more organized in the morning. Our kids are getting older now and they push their bedtimes to an hour past . So hard to “control” this age by making them sleep. Not doing so well on this as my sleeping habits are SO bad.

  29. Yep, we made a New School Year Resolution to get up just a little bit earlier each morning to help get things together, and so far we’ve done it!

  30. I did make some resolutions and so far so good. I wanted homework finished as soon as they get home. This is going better than it did last year with just a little lagging. lol I also wanted to work on projects a little at a time instead of having to rush and do it. So far this has went well too. thank you!

  31. My back to school/new school year resolution is just to survive all the drama of senior year, and all the costs too! So so on surviving!

  32. No school year resolution this year… I just got a great new job a few months ago and my total focus is learning my responsibilities!

  33. For my daughter, my school year resolution was to “back off” a bit and let her take on more responsibility for her work & grades. For my son, it was to make sure that his writing improves!

  34. My resolution was to not have the kids miss ANY days! And its going great so far!!

  35. My school year resolution h has been for better behavior for my son in the classroom. So far, so good! Thanks for the chance to win!

  36. My resolution is to get my kids more interested in math! I hate math, and it’s hard to pretend not to, when I have to do math homework with them every night. My goal is to find fun and new ways to learn math, so that we can all stay interested!

Our resolution was to make sure we read together for 20 minutes a day. We’ve done a really good job of sticking with it so far, with the exception of a few days sprinkled in here and there where other activities had to take priority. Both my girls have gotten excellent English/Reading grades so far and I think it’s because of the time we take to read together.

  38. My new years school resolution is to make mornings less hectic by preparing lunches at night and getting clothes out at night. I have done pretty good with this one.

  39. Yes, I have made a New School Year Resolution – to plan/prepare everything each night so the mornings won’t so hectic. Doing pretty well so far.

  40. Every year I make the resolution to get the kids to do their homework as soon as they get home. And this year, just like every year so far, we are scrambling last thing at night to get it done.
    Thanks for the giveaway!
    eswright18 at gmail dot com

  41. I decided to get a little more organized and I’ve done it. My kids are much more involved this year in activities so I don’t have a choice. As soon as they get home with activity dates, I put them on the calendar. Helps a lot.

  42. Sadly you know what they say, resolutions are meant to be broken. I swore I would check homework every night but I will admit that there have been a couple of nights lately where sleep seemed to call me louder than homework

  43. Candice HopperOwrey

My resolution was to do extra work at home for things daughter isn’t being taught at school…not doing so well.

  44. My resolution is to be prepared this year. Check homework nightly, pack good lunches and to get projects done early, not waiting until the last minute to do them!

  45. Our new school resolution is to study before playtime and it has been working well and my son’s grades have improved.

  46. To be more organized and yes, I’ve followed it because I have no choice – we’re down to 1 car for all of us and I have to make sure everyone is where they need to be when they need to be there.

  47. No official resolutions, but trying hard to stay positive when my son is being difficult about doing homework/reading. Also trying to get more organized at night so we’re not running around like crazy people in the morning.

  48. My only resolution was to “do school” with my pre-school son a couple of hours a week… so far, doing great but we are both not as excited about it as we were a few months ago!!

    billdebstanton at hotmail dot com

  49. I don’t do resolutions–figure that if I will really do it, don’t need to ‘resolve’, and otherwise it wouldn’t matter either way.

  50. Our resolution was to get ready and out the door on time for school with little fighting. So far, some days are better than others. 🙂

  51. My new school year resolution this year was to have a snack ready for the kids when they get home and sit down and talk with them about their day every day, but then we sold our house and moved and things have been crazy, so I need to do a lot better!

  52. My resolution for the school year was for everyone in the house, myself included, to be asleep before 10:00 on school nights, and I’m sorry to say we’ve all broken in several times already!

    gkaufmanss at yahoo dot com

  53. Ours is getting ready the night before and having all homework and studies done early. So we can have extra playtime.
    mightynaynay(at)cs.com

  54. My school resolution was to get up in the morning earlier so wewon’t be late for school and so far we have been.

  55. Thanks for the giveaway…our New School Year Resolution is to get the kids to bed on time; would put our success rate at about 90% so far…

    senorpiero [at] yahoo [dot] com

  56. I am doing really well with my resolution. I get everything together the night before and ready to go for the morning. It makes the mornings so much better and stress free.

  57. our resolution was to give the kids more freedom in making sure they do their assignments themselves…it has worked out for the most part ok…still a few concerns on occasion.
