ARM & HAMMER Plus OxiClean Power Gel Laundry Detergent + Giveaway

Laundry, Laundry, Go Away…..Never Mind, You’re Here to Stay.  While we may not be able to make laundry go away, we can definitely use a detergent that leaves our laundry clean and smelling fresh the FIRST time!  I am loving the opportunity I’ve had to be one of 20 bloggers working with ARM & HAMMER and taking part in the Switch & Save Challenge. My boys and I have sensitive skin, so it is really important that we use a detergent that not only cleans our clothes, but is gentle on our skin as well.  After using ARM & HAMMER Plus OxiClean Power Gel Laundry Detergent for the past few weeks, I have found that I REALLY like it!  The detergent is gentle on our clothes, as well as our skin, and does the job the first time we use it.  ARM & HAMMER Plus OxiClean Power Gel Laundry Detergent works as a great stain remover as well!

With three boys, I find myself spending a lot of time in the laundry room and have discovered a few helpful hints along the way.  The first tip is that you should start your washing machine and then add detergent, waiting to add your laundry until bubbles start to form.  Second, for tough stains, pour a small amount of laundry detergent directly on the stain and rub in.  Let the clothes sit for 20 minutes and then rinse under warm water.  Add directly to the washing machine, as described in tip one, and let the cleaning begin!

  1. Laundry tip: pin socks togteher when you take them off so that when they come out of laundry, you don’t have to search for the matching pairs.

  2. my laundry tip is, you should always after 10 washed clean out your washer because sometimes the stink will stay in there and cloths will still smell bad when they come out!

We have two laundry hampers, one for colors and one for whites. This way, everything is sorted already.
    Thanks so much.

  4. My laundry tip is that where I work I cook chicken and my shirts get pretty greasy, my son sometimes throws some of my clothes in with his to make a full load, not spraying my chicken grease shirts. so I keep a bottle of shout at work and I spray it on my shirt before I get it home. Thanks for the giveaway

  5. My best laundry tip was teaching my tween daughter to do her own clothes! She knows she’s responsible for all of it, beginning to end, problems, stains, etc. Now, I can relax and just do my own laundry and not have to worry! Plus, it’s one more step in preparing her to be on her own!

  6. I do the laundry as soon as I have a full load and I do add Oxi to my washes so this is a great product for me.

  7. Soak white wash for a day in bleach, detergent, and hot water; run through and wash immediately again in bleach, detergent, and hot water.

  8. If someone is picky how they want their clothes washed, it’s best if they do it themselves. That way, they can do it how they prefer.

  9. I use a lot of Resolve and Shout to get out stains, works pretty good though I’ve been meaning to give Oxyclean a try for tough spaghetti stains!

  10. Vinegar is my secret weapon when it comes to laundry. Gets rid of any funky smells. I also use it to rinse my frontloader instead of buying those overpriced capsules to clean it. Works great!

  11. I recently discovered a product called Downy Unstoppables—throw a little in your washing machine and your clothes will smell amazing for days!

  12. Laundry tip: If clothing requires a cold water wash, try soaking it before washing to be sure that the clothing will actually be cleaned thoroughly.

  13. For greasy clothes, soak garment in white vinegar for at least a few hours- or overnight. Wash as usual, do NOT put in dryer if the stains are still there: Instead, spray stains with shout or other spot remover and wash a second time. I worked at McDonalds a few years ago on the Grill.

  14. I precisely wished to say thanks again. I am not sure the things I might have created without the entire methods documented by you relating to that theme. It actually was the terrifying scenario for me personally, however , noticing this specialized style you dealt with that forced me to weep over gladness. Now i am happy for your help and in addition wish you know what an amazing job that you are undertaking instructing many people with the aid of your webpage. Most likely you’ve never come across any of us.

  15. I do an automatic color sort by having different baskets for different color groups. That way, I just have to take whichever one is full to the wash.

  16. I have found that when all else fails to remove a tough stain from white clothing just a single spray of Clorox Clean up will do the job nicely.

  17. To remove a grease or oil stain on fabric, I rub a paste of Dawn dishwashing liquid and Arm & Hammer Baking Soda into it and let it sit for a day or so before washing as usual. It nearly always comes out and without any damage to the fabric.

  18. my laundry tip is when you get light colored stains on black clothes like flour, frosting, toothpaste, deodorant and you cant wash it right away, using hot black coffee to wipe the stain away will make it disappear.

  19. My laundry tip is to line-dry things that may shrink. Too many shirts start to creep up the back from being in the dryer and shrinking. Wonder why they only shrink in the back? 🙂

  20. it’s convenient to use those plastic sock gathers so you dont lose them in the wash or dryer, just slip them thru the plastic ring

  21. For wicked grass stains, throw 1/2 of a Cascade dishwasher detergent tablet into the washing machine. It really eats away the stain!

  22. Always make sure you check the pockets before you put the clothes in the washer! Otherwise you’ll be like me and find tissues, change, etc!

  23. my friend once told me that if you leave your wash in washer too long & it starts to smell musty, add a touch of pinesol to your laundry detergent when you rewash. It really helps with the smell & no.. you dont smell like a floor 🙂 I dont have this problem with the arm & hammer tho, I love that detergent! I will never trade

  24. This is probably a old tip or whatever but I went to the junk yard the other day for a part and I had to sit on the back of a truck tail gate to get to the vehicle that had other things that I needed for my vehicle and I ended up getting grease all over my butt I wash them and it did not come out so I did not dry them and I put dish soap all over the butt and let it soak a couple days then washed again and the grease was all gone.

  25. My only laundry tip: do it as soon as you get a full load – it I don’t – it never gets done! 🙂

  26. Laundry Tip: To keep pillows fluffed, just throw in a few tennis balls into the dryer, and they will come out perfect, nice and fluffy!

  27. One laundry tip that I have found is that if you stick fresh laundry sheets into that basket of clothes you just don’t have time to fold right away, when you get to them again they will still smell good!

  28. I keep a bottle of pre-wash in the bathroom and everyone is expected to spray some on any stains they have before putting clothes in hamper.

  29. I swear by soaking clothes in cold water after a spill, followed by a prewash treatment. Not fancy, but it works!

  30. I use apple cider vinegar in the wash to get animal urine scent out of linens, so the animal doesn’t go back and do it again!

  31. My tip is to give each kid 2 of the pop-up laundry hampers and have them pre-sort their clothes into a white and a color basket.

  32. I use a used dryer sheet to clean off the dryer after I empty the lint filter. It cleans the dust right up. Thank you!

  34. Thanks for the giveaway…whenever possible, pre-soak your laundry overnight to allow the detergent to penetrate tough stains.
