Chugga chugga….chugga chugga….choo choo!!! We absolutely LOVE Chuggington in our home! The boys love the colors and identifying the engines by name. I enjoy the music and the quality of the shows and am happy to represent Chuggington as a Conductor in the blogging world! We were excited to have the opportunity to check out Chuggington: Chuggers To The Rescue, when it was released on DVD from Anchor Bay Entertainment on April 5, 2011. The DVD is available for purchase online and in stores, retailing for $16.98.

DVD SYNOPSIS

Honk your horns! “Chuggington,” the preschool sensation from Ludorum, heads out of the station and into the homes of families across the country with a brand new DVD – Chuggers To The Rescue.

A worldwide television hit and an exciting destination for preschoolers, “Chuggington” follows the humorous adventures of ‘traintastic’ pals, Wilson, Brewster and Koko as they ‘ride the rails’ of life on their way to becoming productive chuggers. Featuring a dynamic fleet of relatable and diverse characters, each engaging episode is filled with positive life lessons that encourage and promote early social skills. The colorful and contemporary CGI-animated TV series airs daily on Playhouse Disney, Disney Channel’s learning-focused programming block.

The action-packed DVD features appearances from special “Chuggington” friends, Calley, Dunbar, Zephie and Mtambo.

Chuggers To The Rescue follows closely on the tracks of Anchor Bay Entertainment’s first “Chuggington” DVD release, Let’s Ride The Rails. Additional releases in the “Chuggington” DVD series from Anchor Bay Entertainment are headed to retail in 2011, including It’s Training Time and Wheels To The Rails. “Chuggington” episodes also are available on iTunes.

Since its September 2008 debut in the U.K., “Chuggington” has quickly becomes a global sensation. The show has been licensed to more than 175 territories worldwide and has established a highly successful ratings record in several key international markets, including the U.K., Germany, France and Australia. The series made its stateside debut on Playhouse Disney in January 2010. The channel has acquired all U.S. television rights to the property for a second season that will begin airing in 2011. Disney Channel is currently available on basic cable in more than 99 million U.S. homes.

MY THOUGHTS

My boys and I really enjoyed watching and interacting with Chuggington To The Rescue on DVD! The boys are so cute – whenever we watch “Chuggington,” they each hold one of the Chuggington engines and point it out whenever it shows up during the show.
