Fandango “Cars 2” Mobile App + #gocars2 Giveaway

My boys and I had been looking forward to seeing Cars 2 for a long time, so we were super excited when the opportunity came along to review the movie and host a giveaway on The Mommy-Files.  I love my Droid and use it EVERYWHERE!  I love that I can use the internet wherever I go.  In this case, I installed the Fandango app and ordered our tickets online for Cars 2.  It was easy and was complete within a few minutes.  The only downside is that there is a fee charged, however, if it is a movie that may sell out, this is definitely a way to guarantee yourself a ticket.  Plus, if you have kids and don’t want to stand in line waiting to buy tickets, this is the way to get your tickets and just walk into the theater.  If you have the Regal Card, you can simply show a cashier your tickets and points will be added to your account.

ABOUT CARS 2

It’s FINALLY here!  It’s been five years since we first met up with Mater and Lightning McQueen and this time they’re heading to Japan and Europe to compete in the World Grand Prix race.  But the road to the championship becomes rocky as Mater gets caught up in an intriguing adventure of his own: international espionage.  View the Movie Trailer HERE.

MY EXPERIENCE WITH THE FANDANGO APP

I felt that the Fandango App was extremely easy to use and I had no problems at all with it.  I ordered the morning of the movie for my boys and I.  I had to first install the FREE Fandango App on my phone and then I went through it, step-by-step, and couldn’t believe how easy it was and how quickly I was able to complete my purchase!  I would definitely be willing to order tickets through the Fandango App on my Droid again in the future!

  1. Thanks for the giveaway….favorite character from the original “Cars” would have to be “Fillmore”.

  2. This is getting a bit more subjective, but I much prefer the Zune Marketplace. The interface is colorful, has more flair, and some cool features like ‘Mixview’ that let you quickly see related albums, songs, or other users related to what you’re listening to. Clicking on one of those will center on that item, and another set of “neighbors” will come into view, allowing you to navigate around exploring by similar artists, songs, or users. Speaking of users, the Zune “Social” is also great fun, letting you find others with shared tastes and becoming friends with them. You then can listen to a playlist created based on an amalgamation of what all your friends are listening to, which is also enjoyable. Those concerned with privacy will be relieved to know you can prevent the public from seeing your personal listening habits if you so choose.

  3. The new Zune browser is surprisingly good, but not as good as the iPod’s. It works well, but isn’t as fast as Safari, and has a clunkier interface. If you occasionally plan on using the web browser that’s not an issue, but if you’re planning to browse the web alot from your PMP then the iPod’s larger screen and better browser may be important.
