DiGiorno Pizza and Nestle Ice Cream Party #theicecreamsocial

I scream, you scream, we all scream for …… pizza and ice cream!  DiGiorno Pizza and Dreyer’s Ice Cream were a perfect addition to our weekend.  Earlier today, the boys and I went to the circus and then we spent time with some friends.  For dinner, we baked up a combination of pizza, breadsticks, cookies, and finished up with a variety of ice cream flavors.  It was a fun time!

I was given the opportunity to host a Pizza and Ice Cream Party with family and friends today, featuring DiGiorno Pizza and Dreyer’s Ice Cream.  I was a little nervous that the selection would be sparse at Walmart, but I was pleasantly surprised when I saw a huge selection of flavors, of both DiGiorno and Dreyer’s.  The flavors I found included Pepperoni, Cheese, Supreme, and Meat and I purchased one of each.  Plus, I bought a few of the combination packs, which included DiGiorno Pizza and Nestle Toll House Chocolate Chip Cookies and one combination pack, which included Cheese Pizza and Breadsticks.  I really liked the combination packs because it cost only a little bit more than the pizza by itself and included some extra goodies.

We went shopping when I was hungry and ended up walking away with 3 different flavors of Dreyer’s ice cream – Cookies N Cream, Mint Chocolate Chip, and French Vanilla.  There were so many different flavors to choose from!  I had no idea that Walmart carried so many different flavors of Dreyer’s Ice Cream!  Not to mention the fact that the prices were reasonable – definitely an important thing to look at with my family’s budget.

When we came home, the kids immediately ran up and asked excitedly, “Are we having pizza yet?!!”  So, the oven was heated up to 400 degrees Fahrenheit and a Cheese pizza and Meat pizza were the first to go in.  My boys quickly ate up the Cheese Pizza and my friend’s kids ate up the Meat Pizza.  I was surprised at how quickly the pizzas cooked up – it took about 17 minutes for each pizza to cook and we cooked 2 at a time.  They were yummy and everyone felt full and satisfied afterwards!  I think my favorite would be the Cheese and Meat flavors!

The kids were excited for ice cream and devoured the Mint N Chip ice cream!  I didn’t eat ice cream until later, but enjoyed eating the Cookies N Cream ice cream.  Plus, I didn’t purchase it this time, but the Mint Cookies N Cream flavor is really yummy as well!  I will definitely purchase DiGiorno and Dreyer’s from Walmart again in the future.
