Over the past month, I’ve had the opportunity to be one of twenty bloggers actively using an ARM & HAMMER product in my home.  I focused on ARM & HAMMER Baking Soda this month.  I grew up with ARM & HAMMER Baking Soda in our home, so I was eager to participate in this opportunity.  I was introduced to the Switch & Save Program, where I learned and have shared some helpful tips and savings that ARM & HAMMER makes available to consumers.  Through my participation in the campaign, I learned of some of the ways that ARM & HAMMER Baking Soda can be used around the home!  Let me tell you, before this campaign, I knew of a few ways to use ARM & HAMMER Baking Soda, but I had NO IDEA there were so many different ways to use it!

  5. I love Arm and Hammer Baking Soda! I use it in the fridge, I use it to clean “nasties” off the walls that my kids just INSIST on wiping on the friggin WALLS instead of getting a TISSUE and throwing them away, and it works GREAT on my shower curtain!

  6. I use baking soda when I wash my dish towels, white clothes and the dog blankets. All in separate loads, of course!

  7. I use it in the sink and tub for cleaning and in the cat box. I also sprinkle it on the carpet then vacuum

  8. I sometimes add baking soda to the laundry when washing to get rid of tough odors on clothes.

I use baking soda for lots of things. We have a glass top stove and baking soda is a wonderful and safe scourer. Also, we pour a bit in our cats litter box and that helps with the odor. Thanks so much.

  11. I use baking soda with a bit of water/moist rag to clean stuff off my glass cooktop! Works great, much less expensive than the store bought cooktop cleaners and much nicer (I’m sure) to the environment.

  12. I use baking soda in my refrigerator, where it makes a great difference. I like reading about all these different uses, and will try some!

  13. We use it to unclog drains and to get sauce stains out of our dishwasher

We use baking soda to kill weeds! Simply add 1/2 cup baking soda to 1 cup hot water, pour into large bucket, add 1 gallon white vinegar. Pour on your walkways. Works great!

  16. We use baking soda for deodorizing the fridge, keeping the litter box fresh, in the laundry and for brushing our teeth.

  17. One of the major things I do with baking soda (besides baking!) is keep it in the fridge and freezer to make sure it doesn’t get inundated with those icky odors. 🙂 Katharina angelsandmusic[at]gmail[dot]com

  18. We use baking soda to cut odors in the fridge, to make cleaning solutions and laundry stain lifters, and, of course, in cooking. We also buy a lot of Arm & Hammer toothpaste and laundry detergent. Thanks!

  20. When I feel like I have a lot of product buildup on my hair, I use baking soda for a good clarifying shampoo. It’s rather strong so I don’t do it too often.

One of the other blogs showed how she cleaned her oven window with baking soda and it looked like new afterwards. I said, yeah right, and decided to try it myself. She was right! And it was so exciting that I did it on the toaster oven, too. The first time my son used it, he said that he thought it was open because it was so clean – LOL. So I’m sold on it!

  26. We use it to cook with. I know…so traditional. But it does do good w/laundry stains when you make it into a paste.

  27. Joanne Schultz

I use baking soda for baking, and also for keeping the fridge smelling fresh!
    Thanks for the giveaway!

  28. We use it to keep our refrigerator fresh and sometimes for oral hygene.

    lyndsey.rullman at hotmail dot com

  29. I use it in slow drains. Pour a spoonful of baking soda into the drain, then pour a little vinegar in…it will foam up as it does its job. About 30 minutes later, run water through.

  30. Aaron B from IL

I mostly use baking soda for actual baking, but I also usually have an open box sitting in the back of the fridge. I have seen some people say that it really doesn’t do any good keeping baking soda in the fridge, but instead was just a ploy by A&H to sell more baking soda. I believe it helps so I still do it just like my mom always used to.

  31. I use it in baking. I use it to clean the stove and pots and pans. I use it to freshen up the carpet.

  32. I use baking soda for baking of course and also for cleaning stainless steel and chrome appliances and fixtures. Sure makes them shine.

  33. Thanks for the giveaway…we use Arm & Hammer Baking Soda to scrub / scour our stainless steel pots & pans.

  34. Marcy Strahan

I used Baking Soda to clean My stove & stainless steel items, clean sinks , mix in the kitty litter & so much more!
