Orville Redenbacher’s Giveaway

I grew up with Orville Redenbacher’s products.  I remember my parents pouring kernels from the plastic Orville Redenbacher’s container into the Popcorn Air Popper.  The popcorn always tasted so fresh.  Now that I have a family of my own, I don’t use the Air Popper, but use the Orville Redenbacher’s Microwave Popcorn.  Our favorite brand is the Smart Pop! flavor.  In fact, we stock up on it each month at Costco.  We love Orville Redenbacher’s popcorn…whether we’re eating it during a movie or just snacking on it.

Orville Redenbacher’s popcorn provides three times more fiber per 1-ounce serving than other snack foods, such as pretzels or potato chips.  Just three cups of Orville Redenbacher’s popcorn provides an entire serving of whole grain.  Health magazine awards Orville Redenbacher’s Gourmet Popping Corn, Natural Lime and Salt as the healthiest and best tasting popcorn in its annual America’s Healthiest Food Buys of 2009.

I’m excited to participate in a fun event on Monday, December 6th.  From 9-11 p.m. ET (8-10 CT, 7-9 MT, 6-8 PT), come join us in a #gno Twitter Party where we’ll talk about healthy holiday snacks.  Click here for more details.

One of our favorite healthy snacks are Satsuma mandarins. We call them Christmas Oranges at our house and go through them like candy

  5. I keep several varieties of almonds on hand to eat in the afternoon when I get home from work to keep me from eating my kids’ after school snacks! 😉

  6. Raven In A Blue Room

my favorite holiday snacks are homemade cookies

  7. Our favorite healthy snack is celery, carrots, tiny tomatoes, pretzels too

    thanks for the chance

  8. My favorite holiday healthy snack is fruit from a HUGE fruit tray…no matter that it is out of season, our family makes sure we have one! (We also make a fruit dip with cream cheese as a base, and that is probably not so healthy but gets the kids to eat fresh fruit!)

    thanks!

  9. I love ALL kinds of chicken so I’d probably try this recipe:

    Asian-Style Crusted Chicken

(Tender chicken with a scrumptious crunchy peanut and popcorn coating.)

    thanks!

  10. My favorite holiday snacks are low fat cream cheese on celery. I also love roasted tomatoes with low fat cheese sprinkled on top before I pop them in the oven.

  11. I try to keep light dips around like light sour cream and herb dip to have with crackers and vegetables when people stop by.

  12. My favorite holiday snack is roasted pistachios. We always had them at work and now I like to have them at home. Nuts are healthier than many of the other items we eat during the holiday.

  13. I can’t resist savory snack, so things like olives and pickles tend to be my faves during the holiday season (and they really aren’t bad for me).
