I am continually impressed with the Documentaries that have been produced by Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment!  I received a copy of The Crimson Wing: Mystery of the Flamingos on DVD and loved it.  The DVD includes some amazing clips of the beautiful, crimson-winged flamingos in their surroundings.  The DVD and 2-Disc Combo Pack was released by Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment on October 19th, 2010.  You can purchase the DVD or Combo Pack online or in stores, retailing for $29.99 (DVD) and $39.99 (Combo Pack).

Discover one of nature’s last great mysteries in The Crimson Wing, a miraculous story of love, courage and survival from Disneynature – the studio that brought you earth.  In a place like no other on the planet, the dramatic and desolate Lake Natron in northern Tanzania, you’ll witness a spectacle unlike anything you’ve seen before – a million crimson-winged flamingos arrive to continue the circle of life.  Focusing on the adventures of a single chick, and set against a backdrop of never-before-filmed landscapes, The Crimson Wing is a visually stunning journey into the life and struggles of the mysterious and inspiring flamingo.

This is an amazing DVD and I am so glad I had the opportunity to review it.  My favorite Special Feature was “Lake Natron Diaries: Behind The Crimson Wing.”  It was fascinating to watch!  I hope that Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment produces some more amazing documentaries about the different animals in our world.

I received a Blu-ray Combo Pack from Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment to facilitate this review.  All opinions expressed in this post are 100% mine.
