My boys love to watch The Backyardigans…and I admit I love to watch it as well.  I often find myself singing along with the boys or just enjoying the show!  On October 5th, Nickelodeon and Paramount Home Entertainment released The Backyardigans: Christmas With the Backyardigans on DVD.

DVD SYNOPSIS:

When Abominable Snowmen Tyrone and Austin take Santa’s magic sack, it’s up to the heroic Action Elves to use their terrific toy-building talents to get the sack back on this brand new DVD.  Featuring four new-to-DVD episodes, preschoolers will be introduced to different music genres and instruments including Memphis Soul, Society Band, Hootenanny, and even a Balalaika Orchestra.

In every episode of The Backyardigans, five high-spirited neighbors meet in their adjoining backyards and use their imaginations to transform themselves into different locations for epic adventures.  Each half-hour episode of this Emmy Award-winning show features a unique music/dance genre with four original songs, along with real choreographed movements recreated in animation.

The Backyardigans: Christmas With The Backyardigans Episode Synopses:

The Action Elves Save Christmas

Pablo and the Acorns

The Acorns (Tasha, Tyrone, and Austin) are kindly Scouts who value outdoor adventure and helping those in need.  But they are put to the ultimate challenge when they try to help Pablo, an evil dictator from outer space.
Music Genre:  Society Band

The Big Dipper Diner

Waitress Uniqua and Cook Pablo meet their hungriest customer yet when Hugs, a sweet little space alien, drops into their space diner.  But an almost identical space alien, the Blarg, is also in the neighborhood shrinking things.

The Amazing Splashinis

The Amazing Splashinis (Uniqua, Tyrone, and Pablo) astound with their incredible synchronized dives.  But practicing their latest dive becomes close to impossible when they discover a Sea Monster in the pool
