Wilton Ultimate Halloween Giveaway

I am thrilled to be one of 8 Mom Ambassadors for Wilton!  Wilton is an amazing company and I am proud to represent them in the blogosphere!  In fact, a few months back, I attended the Wilton Mom ReTreat and experienced the all-new Decorating Basics Course.  It was rewarding and so much fun!  We caught a sneak peak of some of the new products that were to be released this Halloween and Christmas Season.  As a Mom Ambassador, I have the opportunity to try out some of the products for myself!  With Halloween right around the corner, Wilton is your go-to-source for all of your cake decorating, cookie decorating, and candy making needs to make the Halloween season a festive and memorable one for you and your friends and family.

If you follow The Mommy-Files, you may remember that about a month ago, I decorated a Buzz Lightyear Character Cake with one of the character shape pans.  It was challenging, but totally rewarding!  I took away from the experience some of the things I wanted to do differently for the next cake I decorated and applied those changes to my Halloween cake decorating experience.

For a long time now, I’ve wanted to decorate a Jack ‘O Lantern Cake, and thanks to Wilton, I had the opportunity and it was a blast!  My boys absolutely loved it and I received several compliments from family and friends.  I’ve even had people approach me now asking if I do cakes for birthdays and special events.  Wow!  Didn’t see that one coming!

The Jack ‘O Lantern Cake was so much fun to decorate.  In fact, I’ll probably be making one or two more before the Halloween season is over.  However, I did come to realize (after that fact) that there is an actual Orange Icing Coloring.  I didn’t have the Orange Icing Coloring on hand, so I created it on my own by mixing Christmas Red, Lemon Yellow, and Brown to get the orange color.  It still turned out cute though!  For the cake, I used the Iridescents! Jack-O-Lantern Cake Pan.  It was so easy to use.  I recommend using the Wilton Bake Easy Spray or a Spray that includes flour, allowing for easy release of the cake with no tears.  The cake pan holds one box of cake mix and you bake according to the temperature on the box, checking for doneness of the cake with a toothpick.  The Cake Pan retails for $7.99.

The next Halloween item I received, but still have to put together (review to come) is the Pre-Baked Halloween Cookie House Kit.  This is similar to your classic Gingerbread House, but Halloween style…in the shape of a Haunted House.  I am so excited to put this together and decorate it with my boys!  The Cookie House Kit is easy to assemble and fun to decorate.  I’ve been amazed at the job some of the other Wilton Mom Ambassadors have done on their houses.  What better family activity for Halloween than to decorate this pre-baked cookie house?  The kit includes 10 pre-baked gingerbread house pieces (assembled house measures 7 ¾ x 4 x 8 ½ in. high), orange and black decorating icing mixes, 1 ghost icing decoration, colorful candy (purple and orange mini round candies, jelly beans and candy corn), 2 decorating tips, 2 disposable decorating bags, cardboard base, and complete assembly and decorating instructions.  The kit retails for $16.49.

Are you trying to figure out what to take to the Halloween party?  How about cookies?  Wilton has some fun products available for the ultimate Halloween cookies!  The Halloween Cookie Shapes Non-Stick Pan includes 12 classic shapes for your Halloween cookies and single-serving molded desserts.  Shapes include ghost, spider, boiling pot, tombstone, cat, bat, monster, haunted house, candy corn and pumpkin.  There are 12 cavities, each approximately 2.75 x 2.25 x .25 in deep.  The Halloween Cookie Shapes Non-Stick Pan retails for $11.99.

One of the new products we were introduced to at the Wilton Mom ReTreat was the Halloween Push ‘N Print Cutter Set.  With this set, you’re sure to serve cookies that make a great impression….literally!  The Push ‘N Print Cutters emboss a fun design on your cookies before sticking them in the oven.  It’s easy!  You simply load one of the 3 imprint disks in the cutter, cut the cookie, then press the plunger with disk still in place to imprint the design.  Bake, cool and serve a treat that’s perfect for celebrations and cookie gift baskets.  The set is also great for embossed fondant decorations.  Disks are 2 7/8 in. diameter.  The Halloween Push ‘N Print Cutter Set retails for $7.99 for a set of 4.

Now it’s time to decorate your cookies!  I remember cookies mainly being decorated with sprinkles and then baked in the oven.  Well, now, you can go a step beyond that and really decorate your cookies with the Wilton Cookie Icings!  Specifically for Halloween, you’ll want to stock up on Orange Cookie Icing, Black Cookie Icing, and White Cookie Icing.  The Cookie Icing is easy to use – just heat and squeeze onto cookies using the convenient cap.  The icing sets smooth in only 45 minutes.  A 10 oz. bottle covers 12 (3 in.) cookies.  It is Certified Kosher.  The Wilton Cookie Icings retail for $4.49 each.

Decorate the cookies (or cupcakes or cake) with festive Halloween sprinkles.  The 6-Mix Halloween Assortment of Sprinkles is a fun way to dress up your cookies, cupcakes, or cakes!  The mix includes Black and Orange Nonpareils, Halloween Confetti, Halloween Pumpkin Mix, Black, Orange, and Purple Sugars.  7.1 oz. Certified Kosher.  The 6-Mix Halloween Assortment of Sprinkles retails for $5.99.

Cupcakes are another fun way to celebrate the Halloween Season!  Wilton makes it easy and fun to create some amazing Halloween cupcakes.  You can start off with baking your cupcakes in the Haunted Manor Halloween Baking Cups.  The Halloween baking cups are made with microwave-safe paper and are available in Standard size (2 in. diameter) and Mini size (1 1/2 in. diameter).  Pack of 75 Standard Baking Cups retails for $2.09 and a pack of 100 Mini Baking Cups retails for $2.09.

Present your festive Halloween cupcakes in style with the Wilton Haunted Manor Cupcake Stand.    In minutes, you can create a bright and colorful 3-tier cupcake stand with a festive topper.  Your cupcakes and treats will be the highlight of the party!  The 3-Tier Cupcake Stand is 11.75 inches wide x 1.25 feet wide.  The Haunted Manor Cupcake Stand retails for $5.99.

Last but not least, we have the Wilton Halloween Candy Kit for Pretzels!  A more detailed review will come shortly on The Mommy-Files.  With the Halloween Candy Kit for Pretzels, you can transform store-bought pretzel rods into candy-coated treats!  You’ll have a blast with the different spooky shapes and colorful Candy Melts.  Everything you need is in the kit…you just add the pretzels.  The kit includes 3 molds: Rats (1 design, 4 cavities), Skeleton & Spider (2 designs, 6 cavities), Pumpkin & Bats (2 designs, 6 cavities); 16 oz. Candy Melts (4 oz. each Light Cocoa and artificially vanilla flavored White, Orange, and Green); 4 disposable decorating bags, 1 decorating brush, and 20 clear pretzel bags with ties.  Certified Kosher Dairy.  The Halloween Candy Kit for Pretzels retails for $9.99.

MY THOUGHTS

I love Wilton and was excited to test out some of the Halloween goodies in our kitchen at home.  There are a few products with detailed reviews to come!  I think this is a great way to express your creativity and build excitement for the Halloween festivities in your family.  Plus, you’ll be the hit at any party or Halloween function if you show up with some of the creations you can make with these Wilton Halloween products!  Thank you Wilton for such great products!
