This week, I had the opportunity to make my first Wilton Character Cake – Buzz Lightyear from Toy Story 3.  It took me a while but I had such a feeling of accomplishment when I was done. Plus, the boys LOVED it!!!  Thank you for being an amazing company with amazing products Wilton!!!!

    That looks so good!

  2. I used to make all my kids cakes then I got really tired of it. It would take like 3 hours or more to do. Now with 4 kids I just order them..LMAO! LOL Glad yours came out so well 🙂

Fabulous job on the cake! I can totally relate regarding cramped hands. I thought my 3-D train cake would be a breeze but I wasn’t really thinking of the fact that I had to do decorate both sides and the back! 🙂 It was fun though and totally a sense of accomplishment! Congrats! Did you cut into it right away?

Nice cake! My son was Buzz for Halloween once many years ago when the film first came out. Y’know we saw the new film and he loved it just as much, well we all did! Great job on the cake, and thanks for bringing back a great memory!

  7. VERY cute! My 4 year old is a huge Buzz fan so I better not show him your cake. LOL I made him a small 3 tier cake for his birthday in July and used fondant. I spent an entire day putting the cake together and my hands were killing me along with my feet and back for days after. I bet you felt the same as me and almost hated cutting into your cake! LOL These decorated cakes are so cute and so worth it. You did great on your Buzz cake.
