Real Life

Life has definitely presented challenges to me recently.  I am learning more about my boys, myself, and how to deal with the different challenges and emotions I’m experiencing.  I miss writing personal thoughts on my blog.  I miss writing about the challenges of motherhood.  I miss conversing with many of the online friends I’ve made through blogging.

This morning I received an email from a company saying that I was one of the Influential Mommy Bloggers on the Internet.  This brought tears to my eyes.  I’ve worked really hard on my blog the past few years.  Rarely do I feel like the best mom that walked the earth, but I do try to be the best I can be – I’m constantly learning how I can improve myself as a mom and as a woman.  I find myself questioning many of the things I’ve believed in for a long time.  I find myself wondering what lies ahead in my future.

I am excited to bring to you some of the things I’ve been learning as I face my personal challenges.  I am also excited about some of the projects coming up.  I miss The Mommy-Files and am coming back.  I miss all of you who make The Mommy-Files a success.  Thank you for the uplifting thoughts and friendships you’ve given me.  Thank you for everything!

Aw, Shannon, you are an amazing person!!
Seriously, I think perfection is overrated-I think being a mum with all the flaws and mistakes IS perfection, so you’re definitely perfect in many people’s eyes 🙂
I can’t wait to see what you have to share with all your readers! I know we’ve missed you too!

Well, you know as a mom that’s been there/done that… the most … MOST important thing right now is that you’re there for those kiddos and that you find your inner peace again. You find your happy place. Once you get there… everything else is cake. It’s definitely a time of transition and … we’ll all be here! 🙂

  8. I saw your name on the list and was so happy to see you knowing what you have been through. You absolutely deserve the honor, you are a wonderful mom and the fact that you are not perfect is actually a good thing for your children. They see your mistakes and see that you can learn and grow from them.
Congratulations and I look forward to all that The Mommy-Files has to offer.
