  2. My 4-year-old is convinced that if I got breakfast in bed for Mother’s Day, Dad should get breakfast in bed too. So in a few minutes we’re headed into the kitchen to make pancakes for him.

We’re also having his favorite meal and cherry pie for dessert tonight, and the boys made him cards and got him a gift.

  3. We sent our dad Blackhawks gear. He has always been his home city’s sports fan, no matter which sport, and we tend to get him Chicago items, though I don’t think we’ve sent him BH stuff. What better reason to start sending BH items than them winning the Stanley Cup?

  4. We’ll be taking my husband out to dinner for his first Father’s Day, and then we’ll do presents and dessert at home. 🙂

  5. We gave him his presents last night and today we are just going to have a nice day home together, just the three of us!

  6. Maureen (Suburban Prep)

We were going to go to the condo where my parents live and have a barbecue but I got sick so I stayed home.

  7. we’re going out to dinner to celebrate father’s day. I got my husband running shoes & chocolates, and my dad a kindle.

  8. We haven’t really got anything planned for Father’s Day-Just a nice relaxing day at home 🙂
Maybe a little fishing if weather permits.

    Thank you for this opportunity!

  9. I went to see Mom and Dad a day early – took them out to lunch and let Dad know I’d found someone to help them around the house!

  11. I woke up early…made my hunny eggs, sausage, hashbrowns, and home made cinnamon rolls for breakfast…and went out and got him the sunday paper…to make breakfast even more special I made mimosas! We went to the park to play some soccer with our son… Then went over and celebrated with his dad over a BBQ our by the pool! It was a great day to celebrate him and his dad and enjoy summer!

  12. I sent my dad a gift and called him on Father’s Day, and I’ll take him out to dinner when I see him in a few weeks!

  13. the kids woke their dad up bright and earlier than usual…to greet with cards and gifts. then it was a day of swimming and grilling.

  14. I surprised my husband by taking him to a local volleyball company and presented him with a volleyball net system!! Something he’s wanted for a long time 🙂

  15. For Father’s Day, I gave him the best gift ever – SLEEP! I made sure that the kids did not wake him up till much later in the day. My husband works NOCs, so he enjoyed the much needed sleep. Then later in the day we had a nice dinner and the kids gave daddy a gift and got their much needed Daddy Time in.

  16. We gave my Dad some BBQ Sauce we knew he would love, some homemade dark chocolate, and a “Grandpa” hat from our son. We had dinner with my family and just enjoyed being with our Dad!

  17. I filled up my Dad’s candy jar (the one I gave to him 5 years ago for Fathers day) with his favorite candy: gummy bears.

  18. We had a great Father’s Day! We went to North Carolina and spent the day with my husband’s Dad.
We grilled burgers and made homemade ice cream at his lake house. A great time was had by all!

  19. I bought my Dad some tools that he had really wanted, for all the projects that he does – but I’m sure he’d love to have this also, a huge grin would spread over his face at the prospect!

  21. On Father’s Day we spend it at home. We like to do things together on Father’s Day and not go out to eat. Mostly because we abruptly became a 1 income family and are working on things that matter most.

  22. I took boxes of old photos and put them on a digital frame–now he can see his friends, siblings, parents, kids, and grandchildren every day!

  23. My parents live out of state, so I sent my dad a care package of some goodies they can’t get where they live, like goodies from Trader Joe’s. He loved it! Thanks.

  24. Dad and Mom were planning a cross country drive, so of course I got Dad a gift card for his favorite fast food place.

  25. We took my hubby out to dinner and than my sons spent the rest of the afternoon doing different things , so as to say thank you very much for being a great dad1

  26. My husband got several gifts…one from each of kids plus me, and we waited on him all day and took him to a steak dinner at night. Thanks.

  27. We spent Father’s Day at my sister’s. We had dinner & dessert and the fathers got presents to open. It was a great day enjoyed by all!

  28. Thanks for the giveaway…We took Dad out for Sunday Brunch at his favorite restaurant for Father’s Day.
