Tooth Fairy DVD Giveaway

I remember seeing the cardboard cutout for “Tooth Fairy” and thinking, “Oh no!  What is “The Rock” doing now?”  Thanks to 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment, I had the opportunity to review Tooth Fairy on DVD. It was so funny and way better than I ever expected! “Tooth Fairy” will be available on DVD and Blu-ray in stores and online today, May 4th, 2010. You don’t want to miss this adorable family-friendly comedy starring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Julie Andrews, and Ashley Judd!

In the spirit of  “The Game Plan” and “The Pacifier” comes a funny “fish out of water comedy” perfect for the entire family.  Hilarious and wholesome, Tooth Fairy arrives on Blu-ray Disc/DVD Triple Play and DVD May 4 from 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment.  Dwayne Johnson (The Game Plan) stars as Derek Thompson, a hard-charging minor league hockey player whose nickname comes from his ability to knock out other players’ teeth.  After discouraging a youngster’s hopes, he is ordered to one week’s hard labor as the real Tooth Fairy, complete with the requisite tutu, wings and magic wand.  At first he “can’t handle the tooth,” but eventually learns how to adapt to his new position and finds himself rediscovering his own forgotten dreams.

  1. My son just lost his first tooth last week so we made a tooth fairy pillow to put it in. The fairy left him $5 for his first tooth. I doubt she will leave that much for the rest 🙂

  2. I’ll show my age – the tooth fairy would leave us a quarter. It was a big deal in the 60’s.

  3. Of course the tooth fairy visited! I got a quarter for regular teeth and 50 cents for molars. (This was a lot of money at the time!)

Thank you for the giveaway! My niece really loves this movie.

  4. The tooth fairy just visited our house last week and she left my son a dollar gold coin. I even got a picture of her through the catch a character. My kids loved it.

  5. The tooth fairy visits our house and everytime a visit occurs there is fairy dust all over the place! Glittery sprinkles of fairy dust on the window, which by the way is always left open after he/she leaves! Dust on the floor by the bed and even dust under the pillow!! That darned tooth fairy!

Little one also gets money under her pillow but it is always covered in that fairy dust
BTW do you know how hard it is to clean that up :O YIKES

  6. yes I was visited by the Tooth Fairy and received fifty cent pieces. the Tooth Fairy visits here with my daughter now too, and she gets $1, her first was $5 the Tooth Fairy was generous that night.

  7. My parents always left a silver dollar under my pillow when I lost a tooth. I do the same for my kids, only tit’s not a silver dollar.

  8. My son lost his first tooth at school and then was obessed about it and kept taking it out of the plastic bag the teacher gave him. He ended up losing the tooth while waiting in line to be picked up. So, we had to leave the Tooth Fairy a note. It ended up something like this: Dear Tooth Fairy, Sorry I lost my tooth. I promise you can have my next one and I be good too. Love, Z

So, the Tooth Fairy left $5 and a note back that he’d better keep his promise.

  9. Both children… $5 for the first tooth, $1 for every other one… One exception, a few years back my son then 7 lost his tooth at school and it was literally lost. He could not find it anywhere and was mortified. He was so afraid the Tooth Fairy would be mad at him (really did not worry about the money), we told him that if he wrote a note to the tooth fairy he lost it— she would not be mad. Not only was she not mad but she gave him $2 for being SOOO HONEST!!

  10. i used to get so excited when he visited me, i would get a quarter lol, now he comes and leaves the kids a dollar bill, and they are now the ones that are so excited

  11. The Tooth Fairy brings my girls $10 for the first tooth and then $5 for each tooth after that. It sure went up since I was a kid. lol Thank you!

  12. Joseph Stowell

When I was young, we received money for the tooth, but the exchange rate was dependent on the tooth. An incisor would fetch a dime, a bicuspid would fetch a quarter, and a molar would fetch a half dollar. (Yes, back then they had huge 50-cent coins as well as silver dollars, but we never received silver dollars for any of the teeth.) However, with inflation, the price has gone up, but you can keep it a a dollor with one of the new yellow $1 coins. The kids think they are gold and treasure them, especially since they are somewhat rare as far as they are concerned. So, go to the post office or bank and get some of the new dollar coins to use as fodder for the tooth fairy.

  13. I know the tooth fairy would leave me a dollar before, but now I know some kids get a lot more! We like to leave a gift, like a new toy or something that’ll last longer.

  14. The tooth fairy did visit me when I was a child. I usually received $5 or so in return for my tooth! Thanks!

  15. When I was a wee child, I only got a quarter for a tooth. I believe my grand daughters get a gold dollar when they lose one. Even the Tooth Fairy is effected by inflation!

  16. The Tooth Fairy did indeed visit me as a child and usually left a quarter. My kids are visited by that same Tooth Fairy and they usually receive $5 for their teeth.

  17. My kids haven’t lost any teeth yet but my son has a bag that he made to put his teeth in for the tooth fairy. He has slept with it under his pillow every night for more than a year. I think the tooth fairy is going to have to make it worth his while when he finally gets a tooth in there.

  18. The tooth fairy hasnt been here in years, but always left a dollar per tooth. When I was a kid, it was a quarter.
Thanks for the review and giveaway!

  19. Oh yes, the Tooth Fairy always visited me. He took the tooth and left a quarter. Now, he continues his good work by visiting my children….however, the price of tooth has risen to one dollar!

    Thank you. 🙂

  20. We use to get some coins from the tooth fairy. I don’t remember how much! Thanks for the chance to win!

  21. When I was a kid I got a quarter from the tooth fairy, now he’s gotta leave at least a dollar or two. Talk about inflation!

  22. Lucy Schwartz

One evening when I was working , my husband played tooth fairy. Only he put the quarter under the wrong pillow. There was mayhem in the morning. We corrected the mistake and had the child “double check” very carefully to see if she had missed it. And lo and behold she did. Imagine that!

  23. The tooth fairy did visit me and does visit my kids. The tooth fairy leaves money. When I was little I recieved a quarter, but the rate has gone up to a dollar!

  24. The Tooth Fairy visited me when I was little and left a dime. Tooth Fairy took inflation into account with my son and is leaving him a quarter.

  25. my son is about to lose his first tooth,I think we will give him a dollar!

    ardelong2(at)gmail(dot)com

  26. The tooth fairy always visited me and I got a quarter per tooth. There were a couple special teeth where I got a dollar. The tooth fairy must allow for inflation, though, because my kids are left a couple dollars to sometimes $5 per tooth! Holy cow!

  27. My kids have yet to lose a tooth, but we were thinking of leaving a quarter, though that seems cheap to what I’ve seen other people say they leave.

  28. The tooth fairy always visited when I was a kid! He always left a quarter behind! My little girl hasnt lost any yet but I will do what my sister does and leave a special golden dollar! Her kids think they are given only by the tooth fairy!!

  29. My dd just lost her tooth last week. The tooth fairy let her keep her tooth and gave her a dollar!
