Nestle Family Mother’s Day Giveaway

Mother’s Day is just around the corner and you may be thinking about what to do for this special day and the mother in your life.  Nestle has a great idea (and giveaway) for you!  Instead of going out, why not have a Mother’s Day Family Night In?  Spend time with the mother in your life and watch a movie, eat some moist Nestle Toll House Cookies, and build your family bond by spending time with one another!

I personally love watching movies and love the Nestle Toll House Mini Chocolate Chip Cookies!  Ovaltine is another favorite Nestle product in our home, as is Juicy Juice.  I think this is a fabulous way to celebrate Mother’s Day and you should definitely check out the Nestle site!

    Now that my boys are just about old enough to understand the concept, I’m hoping we celebrate this Mother’s Day w/ me sleeping in past 5:30 AM. Wouldn’t that be nice!? 🙂 I think my 4-year-old is also determined to give me breakfast in bed. Whatever we do, I’ll be spending the day with my boys!

    This year my sister, her two girls, my daughter and I are going to visit my Mom’s grave, then we are going to the local theater to see a musical (something my Mom instilled the love of in all of us) and then to a late lunch to celebrate our Mom and each other.

    My kids do lots of nice things for me! They all work and are young adults now! When they were younger they made cards in school that were so sweet! I treasure them and have kept them all!

    My dad always makes her breakfast in bed – usually waffles or pancakes covered in strawberries and whipped cream. 🙂 Me and my siblings make her cards, make the meals that day, put out some fresh cut flowers, and usually go in together to buy a little present.

    2 years ago my husband and I (fiance at the time) cooked lunch for our moms! They are friends so it made it simple! It was alot of fun!! I always try to do something to take the load off my mom for the day!

    Mother’s Day is different every year. This year my Mom is coming up from FL so if it’s nice we may BBQ and hang out so she can spend time with the kids. If the weather isn’t going to be nice, I may find tickets for a show for the 2 of us…depends what’s available but I am hoping for good weather! Have a happy one! Thanks

    I get my breakfast in bed, always. May not be much some times as my kiddos are not great chefs 😉 but it is all appreciate regardless. Then…. I get to go out to lunch, my choice. I love Mother’s Day!

    When I was younger it was MOM’s Day!! She would not have to do anything and it was always BLT’s for dinner. I guess what will see what my husband does for me this year…He usually gets flowers & a gift and a GREAT card!! 🙂

    When I was a child, I got up early and made toast and coffee for my mom…served her in bed….then we did everything in our power to ensure she had a completely relaxing day…and, of course, gifts. My children do all they can to make my day relaxing…they take me out to lunch and give me adorable, loving gifts.

    We don’t really have a Mother’s Day routine, or anything special that we’ve done in the past. I think that this year, I would like to start the day off by making a nice breakfast for myself and the kids, and maybe have a movie afternoon with popcorn and cuddling on the couch. Then, play some board games and chill at home.

    Last year I send flowers to my mom to surprise her as she loves flowers. If I am not so far away from her, I would spend time with her. The best gift would be having dinner together and just enjoying our time together.

    Weather permitting, we have a picnic outside. If it’s stormy, we usually gather at my daughters home and have a nice dinner and watch a movie. And I love getting the flowers. My kids know me so well! Thanks.

    We are pretty lame about mother’s day. The kids usually make me a card and that’s about it. However, we do spend the whole day together and that is the best part (especially since they are in their teens and always want to be with their friends!)

    Traditionally I plant flower in my mom’s flowerbeds and containers on her patio. She can enjoy her flowers all summer long rather than just for a week!

    For my 86 yo mother, I take lots of pictures of my daughter, my house, garden, flowers and veggie gardens and print them out for her to see since she doesn’t travel any more. Then, we go see her and spend time talking and remembering. I also take her lots of home grown/preserved goodies because she loves them and thinks of me when she’s enjoying them.

    For my Mom, we all go over to her house and hang out with her. We make sure to clean up the food so she doesn’t have to. My sisters and I spend a lot of time with our Mom, and she doesn’t like us spending money on her, so we just enjoy each others company. I have a wonderful Mom!

    My Mom tells us Mothers Day is everyday of the year. She always tells us she loves us and fixes us something special for our birthdays and never forgets a sick friend. We are so very lucky to have her special smile , interest in our homework and friends. When we are sick she always stays by our bed with a cold drink and a nice book to read to us. Mothers Day you see is everyday at our home cause Mom is great and now that we are older she still is.We always want to give her something nice but she says just having us is enough. We think she is awesome. Our Mom. Hope she wins.

    The special things we do for my mom on Mother’s Day. My mom works in a hospital so she works long hours and hardly has any time to her self. The first thing we do is make her breakfast in bed, We usually give her a spa giftcard, so she can treat herself to a little pampering and we take her out to brunch and tell her how much we love her and appreciate her.

    My mom is defintiely my role model. Everyone has their own love language, my mom’s is acts of service. So in the morning we make all her favorite breakfast foods and get dunkan donut coffee and bring it up to her room. By the time she comes down stairs to go to church the whole house is clean and the laundry is done which is all she wants every year. After church we make reservations out somewhere really nice for lunch and me and my sister, even though were kinda older have to not fight. And well go home and open her presents and do some random stuff. Me and my mom loveeee playing games with the whole family. So we force my sister to come to the living room and we spend hours playing family games, which she really enjoys. Then we watch a movie we just bought her (:

    I won’t be able to see my mom on Mother’s Day (I live too far away) so we’ve decided that since I’ll be visiting for her birthday two weeks later, we’ll celebrate Mother’s Day together by cooking our favorite meal and hanging out in the yard like we did when we were both younger. Dad has been assigned dish duty lol.

    We get to together for dinner with my family…this is only my 2nd year of being a Mom and apparently our tradition is my son being sick. Last year he was so sick he couldn’t keep anything down during Mother’s Day weekend…and this year my son is once again so sick he can’t keep anything down. At least it makes me really feel like a Mom!

    To celebrate Mother’s Day, we usually take our mom to her favorite Italian restaurant and, for dessert, we usually collaborate to make a cake or pie, which we enjoy at home while she opens the gifts we buy for her. We basically just try to make sure it’s a relaxing, enjoyable day to share each other’s company and let Mom know how much we love and appreciate all that she is and all that she does!

    We usually have Chinese Food to celebrate Mother’s Day but this year I am visiting an elderly lady to wash her car for her, she was brought to tears when I told her I wanted to stop by and do it cause her kids don’t really show her they care!
