  1. My mother is an incredible person. She has always put others before herself. Therefore, she should be honored on Mother’s Day (and every other day!). 🙂

  2. It’s their turn to make it nice for mom. They’re doing the work and mom just kicks back and enjoys the show.

  3. Now that my boys are just about old enough to understand the concept, I’m hoping we celebrate this Mother’s Day w/ me sleeping in past 5:30 AM. Wouldn’t that be nice!? 🙂 I think my 4-year-old is also determined to give me breakfast in bed. Whatever we do, I’ll be spending the day with my boys!

  4. This year my sister, her two girls, my daughter and I are going to visit my Mom’s grave, then we are going to the local theater to see a musical (something my Mom instilled the love of in all of us) and then to a late lunch to celebrate our Mom and each other.

  5. My kids do lots of nice things for me! They all work and are young adults now! When they were younger they made cards in school that were so sweet! I treasure them and have kept them all!

  7. My mother is older so for the last decade we have been spending the day with her at the nursing home she is in.

  8. My dad always makes her breakfast in bed – usually waffles or pancakes covered in strawberries and whipped cream. 🙂 Me and my siblings make her cards, make the meals that day, put out some fresh cut flowers, and usually go in together to buy a little present.

  9. I used to wait on my mother hand and foot. My boys let me sleep in and bring me cards and breakfast in bed.

  10. We go over to my in laws and celebrate Mother’s Day for my MIL and myself by having the men of the family cook for us 🙂

  11. My grown sons take me out to lunch. It’s so nice to have them to myself for just a few hours.
Thanks for the chance to win!

  12. 2 years ago my husband and I (fiance at the time) cooked lunch for our moms! They are friends so it made it simple! It was alot of fun!! I always try to do something to take the load off my mom for the day!

  13. Mother’s Day is different every year. This year my Mom is coming up from FL so if it’s nice we may BBQ and hang out so she can spend time with the kids. If the weather isn’t going to be nice, I may find tickets for a show for the 2 of us…depends what’s available but I am hoping for good weather! Have a happy one! Thanks

  14. We will be going to see my mom who will be newly home from the hospital post surgery.

  17. Well, I’ll have the kids make some cute cards, we’ll hope for great weather, and we’ll all get together and have fun and lots of food!

  18. Audrey Crothers

I get my breakfast in bed, always. May not be much some times as my kiddos are not great chefs 😉 but it is all appreciate regardless. Then…. I get to go out to lunch, my choice. I love Mother’s Day!

  19. When I was younger it was MOM’s Day!! She would not have to do anything and it was always BLT’s for dinner. I guess what will see what my husband does for me this year…He usually gets flowers & a gift and a GREAT card!! 🙂

  20. We always get together with my mom and two grandmothers. Usually, we go to Olive Garden and feast on their unlimited tasty bread sticks!!

  21. I just enjoy being with my family..they let me pick where to go out and eat if I want to. The kids usually give me something they made, which I love.

  22. My husband and five-year-old son insist on baking me a box cake–in my FAVORITE flavor–not theirs, which always warms my heart!

  23. When I was a child, I got up early and made toast and coffee for my mom…served her in bed….then we did everything in our power to ensure she had a completely relaxing day…and, of course, gifts. My children do all they can to make my day relaxing…they take me out to lunch and give me adorable, loving gifts.

    Thank you. 🙂

  25. Since I am the mother and grandmother in the family, I usually get flowers and a dinner that is made by someone other than me It is a lovely day for me so I can sit back and enjoy everyone..

  26. My mom passed away 18 years ago but every mother’s day I look up towards heaven and wish her a happy mothers day!

  27. My mom passed away 18 years ago but every mother’s day I look up towards heaven and wish her a happy mothers day!

  28. paige chandler

My sweetie and kids make me breakfast in bed and even do the dishes. It’s only once a year – but so very special for me.

  29. For me mothers day is great just staying at home and relaxing all day spending time with my daughter because if it werent for her I woldnt be a mother!

  30. My kids love to make me breakfast in bed and then off to church. They get so excited giving me their homemade cards and gifts. It’s the best.

  31. Mom doesn’t like Mother’s Day, so we don’t do anything on that day, but we try to make the month of her birthday special in little ways.

  32. Michelle Kelgard

I will call my mom and miss her on mothers day! I will also enjoy being a mom with my own daughters.

  33. I believe Mother’s Day is every day, so I do special things all throughout the year for my moms. I will call them though, and will send them each a card 🙂

  34. To make Mother’s Day special. I am planning on sleeping in….I have three small kids, so this is a big deal.

  35. my sister & I take our mother to brunch then we go to our favorite nursery & spend the morning looking at the plants & flowers.

  36. We don’t really have a Mother’s Day routine, or anything special that we’ve done in the past. I think that this year, I would like to start the day off by making a nice breakfast for myself and the kids, and maybe have a movie afternoon with popcorn and cuddling on the couch. Then, play some board games and chill at home.

  37. Last year I send flowers to my mom to surprise her as she loves flowers. If I am not so far away from her, I would spend time with her. The best gift would be having dinner together and just enjoying our time together.

  38. Weather permitting, we have a picnic outside. If it’s stormy, we usually gather at my daughters home and have a nice dinner and watch a movie. And I love getting the flowers. My kids know me so well! Thanks.

  39. We are pretty lame about mother’s day. The kids usually make me a card and that’s about it. However, we do spend the whole day together and that is the best part (especially since they are in their teens and always want to be with their friends!)

  40. Traditionally I plant flower in my mom’s flowerbeds and containers on her patio. She can enjoy her flowers all summer long rather than just for a week!

  41. We live far away from our Mom’s so we send flowers and pictures of the kids. My husband and my kids always give me cards and my husband gives me a massage 🙂

  42. Every year, I would buy my mom flowers to plant outside…this year, we will be remembering her by planting our own flowers.

  43. We send my mother flowers, but I really don’t want anything for Mother’s Day. Just having my husband and children around me is enough.

  44. My mother and I make a special lunch for my grandmother. We love to do it and great for all of us to get together!

  45. For my 86 yo mother, I take lots of pictures of my daughter, my house, garden, flowers and veggie gardens and print them out for her to see since she doesn’t travel any more. Then, we go see her and spend time talking and remembering. I also take her lots of home grown/preserved goodies because she loves them and thinks of me when she’s enjoying them.

  46. For my Mom, we all go over to her house and hang out with her. We make sure to clean up the food so she doesn’t have to. My sisters and I spend a lot of time with our Mom, and she doesn’t like us spending money on her, so we just enjoy each others company. I have a wonderful Mom!

  47. Living in a different country is hard on mother’s day, but I always make sure I send her a special bottle of bubbly and her favorite choccies and call her for a long chat 🙂

  48. We normally spend the day together as a family. We like to cuddle on the couch and watch movies. Of course I also call my mom and wish her a Happy Mother’s Day too. =)

  49. Leslie Price

I lost my Mom a long time ago, so Mother’s Day for me is a pretty sad day with a lot of reflection.

  50. We celebrate with all the Mothers in our family with a brunch. Everyone brings a small gift for everyone else.

  51. My & the family usually go visit my mom & my dh’s mom. Then we make dinner plans. We will either go out to dinner just as a family or we take our mom’s too.

  52. My Mom tells us Mothers Day is everyday of the year. She always tells us she loves us and fixes us something special for our birthdays and never forgets a sick friend. We are so very lucky to have her special smile , interest in our homework and friends. When we are sick she always stays by our bed with a cold drink and a nice book to read to us. Mothers Day you see is everyday at our home cause Mom is great and now that we are older she still is.We always want to give her something nice but she says just having us is enough. We think she is awesome. Our Mom. Hope she wins.

  53. I always take my mom for a mini shopping spree. She owns her own tax business and after tax season she needs a new wardrobe for the summer!!! =)

  54. My sister and I take my mother out usually for a pedicure then the rest of family joins us for lunch

  55. we spend the day at the boardwalk, the kids ride the rides and sometimes me, moms ride for free that day. last year my daughters birthday fell on Mother’s Day, so that is always nice !

  56. The special things we do for my mom on Mother’s Day. My mom works in a hospital so she works long hours and hardly has any time to her self. The first thing we do is make her breakfast in bed, We usually give her a spa giftcard, so she can treat herself to a little pampering and we take her out to brunch and tell her how much we love her and appreciate her.

  57. We usually do something outside like go to the park or the pool. Later that evening we go out to eat.

  58. My mom is defintiely my role model. Everyone has their own love language, my mom’s is acts of service. So in the morning we make all her favorite breakfast foods and get dunkan donut coffee and bring it up to her room. By the time she comes down stairs to go to church the whole house is clean and the laundry is done which is all she wants every year. After church we make reservations out somewhere really nice for lunch and me and my sister, even though were kinda older have to not fight. And well go home and open her presents and do some random stuff. Me and my mom loveeee playing games with the whole family. So we force my sister to come to the living room and we spend hours playing family games, which she really enjoys. Then we watch a movie we just bought her (:

  59. we love to take her out for breakfast and let her have a day to relax, read a book and have a coffee. We also are going to go to niagara falls this year 🙂

  60. first we go to church , than we go out to eat, and then we give her our individual homemade or brought
gifts than tell her wonderful things about herself (tears and smiles…and an awww every once and a while. Its pretty awesome.

  64. We don’t do anything consistant with my mom. Some years she makes plans with my grandma. The last couple of year we have tried out some local brunches. One was good, one was not.

  65. My family will take our mothers out for brunch at the same lovely restaurant we go to every year. I can’t wait until my mom opens her gift – I bought her a Sassy Black Flirty Apron.

  66. Mother’s day in our family is wonderful, since we have 5 generation to celebrate. We gather together at my great grandmothers to have a lunch or dinner in her secret garden. We exchange gifts and take lots of pictures.

  67. I won’t be able to see my mom on Mother’s Day (I live too far away) so we’ve decided that since I’ll be visiting for her birthday two weeks later, we’ll celebrate Mother’s Day together by cooking our favorite meal and hanging out in the yard like we did when we were both younger. Dad has been assigned dish duty lol.

  68. We do what my mother wants us to do on this special day. She wants us to go to church. Her church has a thing where the most attendees for a Mother on Mother’s day wins.

  69. I try to get my mom a special gift and if I am actually with her for the day–help with dinner etc. I will be surprised what my fam has up their sleeve for me this weekend. It is different every year.

  76. My mom lives in another state but I try to send her something and definitely a phone call to remind her that she has a daughter that thinks she is the best !

  77. Laura Emerson

My mom lives in another state too. Each year I call her, send her some tulips and our kids send her some homemade gifts.

  78. We get to together for dinner with my family…this is only my 2nd year of being a Mom and apparently our tradition is my son being sick. Last year he was so sick he couldn’t keep anything down during Mother’s Day weekend…and this year my son is once again so sick he can’t keep anything down. At least it makes me really feel like a Mom!

  79. My kids always make me breakfast in bed – it’s always an interesting assortment, but I love it.

  80. To celebrate Mother’s Day, we usually take our mom to her favorite Italian restaurant and, for dessert, we usually collaborate to make a cake or pie, which we enjoy at home while she opens the gifts we buy for her. We basically just try to make sure it’s a relaxing, enjoyable day to share each other’s company and let Mom know how much we love and appreciate all that she is and all that she does!

  81. Since I live on the west coast, and my mom lives on the east coast, I always send her flowers and give her a call wishing her a happy mothers day. I miss her… 🙁
