When my students used to get the hiccups, I would tell them to think hard about when the next one was coming. This usually works since you concentrate on that and calm your body.

My Grandma taught me when I was a little girl that when you have the hiccups…you begin counting “one strawberry, two strawberry”…all the way to ten strawberry and your hiccups will be gone. Works for me still to this day!

The few times I’ve had the hiccups I did some deep breathing and they went away.
Good because it can be embarrassing if in the wrong place!

There is the lifting up of arms and stretching, and then there is drinking water.
Lay on the bed hanging as much of upper half of the body as is possible, and take deep breaths.

Hate hiccups, and nothing works that I have tried. I just drink water and cross my fingers!
Holding my breath usually works for me.
Eat a piece of chocolate. It really works. Or a lemon slice with sugar or a spoonful of peanut butter. But all said the chocolate works the best. Just a small piece will do it.
