I recently had the opportunity to review a Cooking Journal in Avocado, as part of the “Write It Down” Series from Journals Unlimited, Inc.  I love it!!  I have been using it since I first received it.  Have you ever made a recipe, loved the way it tasted, and then forgotten the ingredients or portions of the ingredients you used to get it just write?  Now you don’t have to worry about it!  You have a journal to “write it down” in so you can always hang on to that special recipe and duplicate it again in the future!

Throughout the month of February, I was trying out different Mexican Recipes.  Most of the time now, I’ll change up the ingredients in recipes I make – to make them officially my recipes and because I usually love more of things like garlic and cheese!  However, I often don’t write down what I do differently.  I go to make it again and don’t have the same success I did the last time I made the recipe.  This is where the Cooking Journal comes in handy!

The sections in the journal include Appetizers, Main Dishes, Soups & Salads, Sides, and Desserts.  There are 200 pages for you to write on and the journal’s dimensions are 7.5″ x 9″ (inches).  The pages includes a section for the title of the recipe, ingredients (including hard to find ingredients), step-by-step directions, extra notes about the dishes, your rating of the final product, and more.  This would be a great wedding gift or housewarming gift to give a family member or friend…or to keep for yourself and pass down to your children.  The journal retails for $18.95 and can be purchased on the site.

You can also find other products at Journals Unlimited, including Notepads and other themed journals.  Check them out today!

MY THOUGHTS

I really loved using this journal and I look forward to all of the different recipes I will add to it throughout the year.  I love the layout of the pages and the different sections.  I rate it a 4 out of 5 for quality, design, and effectiveness!  Thank you Journals Unlimited!

I received a Cooking Journal from Journals Unlimited via Chic Execs to facilitate this review.  All opinions expressed in this post are 100% mine.
