Each Friday on The Mommy-Files, we feature one blogger and have the opportunity to get to know that blogger a little more! I love Featured Blogger Fridays because it gives all of my readers and visitors, as well as myself, a chance to get to know other bloggers out in the blogosphere. Today, I am pleased to introduce Kristie from This Side of Eternity.  I am excited to learn more about Kristie and browse her blog. This is the first time I have really explored her blog – thanks to Featured Blogger Friday.  I’m excited to learn more about her and her blog!  Without further ado, here is Kristie from This Side of Eternity!

What made you choose the name of your blog?

A friend of mine was talking about things that matter only on “This Side of Eternity”, and I loved the conversation and the idea so much I stole the phrase and made it my title.

What do you love about blogging?

I love having a place to share all of the neat things I come across with others.  I also like having a creative outlet where I can write about the things that are important to me, and I also enjoy having an opportunity to get to know new people through my blog.
 
What is the purpose of your blog?

 To help others make the most of their finances so they can spend less, and give more.

Do you have any blogging tips (i.e. from those getting started to those who have been blogging longer than you)?

Blog for yourself first! 
 
Are you married?  If so, how long?

Yes, I have been married to my best friend for 12 years, and it has been a very interesting journey thus far.
 
Do you have children?  If so, how many?

I have a 16 year old daughter & 11 year old son that I have been homeschooling for 6 years now.  My daughter is in her third semester of college and my son has begun his first year of junior high.
 
What is your favorite movie of all time?

I have to choose just one?  I love all kinds of movies, in fact watching movies is one of my favorite things to do when I’m just looking to relax.
 
Who is your favorite actor?

Will Smith has to be my favorite.  I haven’t seen him in a movie that I didn’t love yet!
 
What is your favorite dessert?

Caramel Praline Ice Cream

What is your favorite holiday?

I love Thanksgiving because it gives me a time to reflect on the things that I am thankful.
 
If you were on a deserted island by yourself, what are 2 things you would have?

My husband and a good book.
 
And of course, you know me, there has to be a chocolate question.  What is your favorite candy bar?

Snickers!
