Reinventing Wool

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Ramblers Way. All opinions are 100% mine.

What are your initial thoughts when you think about wool?  I think about warmth and itchy material.  I think about wool blankets you take with you to baseball or football games to keep warm in the cold elements.

I was recently introduced to Ramblers Way Wool Products online.  I learned a few things about wool that I did not know before.  For example, I didn’t know that wool naturally resists wrinkling and soiling and is flame resistant.  I also didn’t know that wool was a renewable fiber with multiple uses and that its complex fiber properties allow it to have superior insulation, water repellency, water absorption, and odor control.

For instance, the wool garments at Ramblers Way both warm and cool equally, making them wearable almost all year round.  I also learned that their clothing is durable and long-lasting.  Their wool is enzyme-treated for shrinkage and is fully washable.  Plus, their wool garments are natural, non-synthetic, and chemical free.  I think it’s great that the clothing comes pre-washed and ready to wear.  You can put it right on as soon as you get it in the mail.  I also learned that their “next-to-skin” garments are soft and lightweight, so that you can wear them all day and night.  I love that the sheep (Rambouillet), from which the wool comes from, are farmed and produced in America instead of overseas.  This looks like a company that produces great wool products!

I have ruined wool clothing by washing it. Glad to see there is a process that prevents that.

Yes! Wool is such a nice material. It definitely breathes well and wicks moisture. My DH swears by it and has converted me. He loves outdoor sports and tries to get wool or synthetics for all his clothing. I love to knit with a nice Merino wool for my kids.
