I love watching Veggie Tales! Oh and so do my kids – lol! Thanks to Kids First, I had the opportunity to review “VeggieTales: Saint Nicholas: A Story of Joyful Giving” on DVD. My boys loved it and watched it many times before Christmas night!

You’ll love it as you discover the story behind the Christmas holiday put on by some of your favorite vegetables. The story is about a little boy who eventually becomes known as St. Nicholas. You’ll enjoy the adorable song and funny dialogue that will entertain both children and adults! St. Nicholas is a boy who had parents who dedicated their lives to helping others. When they died, he set out to discover who he was and found that he loved serving others. Political leaders back then made it very difficult for people to serve one another. So St. Nicholas worked around the system and came up with a way to help others. The Veggies tap into several world traditions and show young Nicholas how to use chimneys and shoes to provide gifts to those in need. They also show how a love for God translates to a love for humankind. The movie is 50 minutes long and well worth the watch!
