Yep…I’m Still Alive!
For those of you who follow me on a regular basis, you’ve probably noticed you haven’t received my cheery email updates in the past few days. I was getting the family and I ready to travel to California for the holidays. There is a LOT that goes into getting a family of 5 ready to get out the door – shewww!!
I was a busy mama on Friday, doing laundry, helping with my son’s school holiday party, running errands, and cleaning out the fridge. I’ve NEVER seen a day fly by so fast! Before I knew it, it was 10:00 at night. We had to wake up at 5:30 a.m. (on Saturday) and be ready for the taxi driver to pick us up. We’ve decided that when we go to the airport to go out of town, it is more cost effective and less stressful to have a taxi drop us off at the airport and pick us up at the airport then to drive to the airport, park, and drag our luggage (and tote 3 kids at the same time) through the airport terminals.
I even paid the $15.00 per bag fee to check 2 of our bags. I didn’t want to spend $30, but let me tell you….it was totally worth it! It was hard enough trying to keep our little darters boys in one area without the addition of carrying multiple bags throughout the airport.
Needless to say, it is now almost 6:30 p.m. and we are safe at my parent’s home in California. It didn’t take that long to fly, but it was more cost effective to fly into San Jose and make the 3 hour drive to the Central Coast than to fly into San Luis Obispo or Santa Barbara airport.
There will be more giveaways and winners announced this week. As well as a trip to Disneyland and more!!!!
Hugs to everyone!
I’m glad everything went well. And I’m very glad
And I’m very pleased to hear that this airport trip didn’t end up the same way as this → Airport Employee Bullies Mommy Blogger in Chicago.
🙂

So glad ya’ll made it safe and sound to your parents. Have a wonderful Christmas and enjoy the vacation.
Are you coming through Santa Barbara??? That’s where I’m from and I almost never fly through the airport here lol
Glad you all got there safe and sound and no Home Alone II Lost In New York replays since you have little ones. Probably a very smart thing to take a taxi and then check the bags.
Have fun.
An early Merry Christmas to everyone.
Gald you made it safe and happy! Have a great time.
Haha! For a minute there I thought you were giving away a trip to Disneyland!
Now wouldn’t that be something!
Glad you made it safely. Sounds like you did it up right. Have fun!
I totally understand… we only had 2 little boys, and it was hard enough – we each were only responsible for one kid… I don’t know how you do it with an extra one… you are outnumbered! 🙂
Glad you arrived safely and are I know you are going to have a WONDERFUL time…
