Prior to having kids, my husband and I would go out to eat and on dates whenever we had the time or money – pretty much whenever we wanted. 3 kids later, the dating scene is a little slower. We still try to go out on a date at least once a month though. Whether it’s to a movie or to a restaurant. It gets a little expensive – with paying for babysitting and all. But we still manage to do it.
I have to admit that I LOVE “buy one get one free” coupons or being able to buy a $25 gift certificate for only $10.00. I was recently introduced to Restaurant.com and will definitely be using it for future dates. Did you know that you can pay $10 for a $25 gift certificate on their site. Plus, you can do a search using your zip code to find out what restaurants near you participate with Restaurants.com. I was pleasantly surprised how many restaurants I could find on the site that were within a five mile radius of my home.
On a side note, be sure to take up offers for grandmas and grandpas to watch the kids when you’re visiting them or they are visiting you. You might actually have some extra money to see a movie in addition to dinner!

We just discovered restaurant.com a few months ago and LOVE it!
I use to use them when I lived in Orlando but since moving to Penacola, FL there is only one restaurant that participates and that place isn’t so great either.
I’m going to check it out now. I love going on dates but we just can’t afford everything. This would be awesome if there were some by me.

I bought a bunch when they had a huge $3 sale for $25 certificates. Just be sure to check small print for different restaurants. We bought one that couldn’t be used on the weekends 🙂 But for that cheap you make it work 🙂
I keep checking back, in hopes that more restaurants near me show up! Restaurant.com is great!
