  1. Hi Shannon!

I loved your money savings tips – especially the Costco one – that is a great idea!

Isn’t it funny how the hubbies stop cooking when we start doing it all the time? At least yours is a good cook…LOL. My hubby does BBQ well, so I am happy for that.

That is neat that you have only been in the hospital to have kids. I, too, couldn’t wait to come home!!

    Thanks for mingling again!

  2. Shannon, what a great Mingle! I’ve actually never been to QFC before but it sounds fantastic. I took foreign language in high school and remember the same amount you do. I blame my lack of memory on having children (it makes me feel better). I can’t wait to “see” you next week in your Mingle.

  3. I love Kroger brands, they totally rock here in AZ. Costco is the bane of our existence, we have to go to Costco with how much milk, bread, and everything we go through. So we buy in bulk there and save huge. Great mingle!

  4. I try to stick to my list too. If not, it’s way too easy to overspend. My list usually consists of sale items too, and when I find good meat deals, I stock up. That’s so funny your hubby taught you how to cook, so did mine! And he makes some killer grilled food too. He won’t even let me touch the grill, that’s like his baby. That’s where he’s standing in like every summertime picture of him!

  5. Love Costco! But we’d be in trouble if we only bought what we could carry lol I stock up on canned and dry goods each time we’re there. Always always bring a list with me grocery shopping.

    Happy Mingling 🙂

  6. You are so lucky to be able to get together with other mom bloggers! I am looking forward to the day when I can too 🙂

Yay for a husband that cooks!! Wow, he makes bread? I can’t even do that….lol

You speak about as much Spanish as I do. I thought I’d be able to get it but I just can’t….

I love quickbooks! My husband uses it as his business and it is very very good program. Not going up and down every aisle is a very good idea! I do the list too, but if I got up and down every aisle I end up spending more money than I meant to by saying “oh, I forgot to put this on the list…” Good idea!!

I talk fast when I am nervous too! Glad I am not the only one…

    See you around!

  7. I wish I was going to blogher or some sort of blog event. I’d love to meet some other mom bloggers. So glad you got to go to this and enjoyed it.

LOL – It’s funny that your dh taught you some stuff and then dropped off. It’s nice that he cooks though.

Yes yes there are a few Spanish words that are very important 🙂 Food, bano, telephone etc

We do our tithes too and savings but usually the savings turn right around to buffer for the bills. I love your tips. I do stick to my grocery lists too, but dh doesn’t. We need to back away from CC too. I don’t like them. I never had them before so if we don’t have them, it wouldn’t be a loss.

Gosh you should put gloves on when watching your shows! 🙂

It was great to see you again Shannon. *HUGS*

  8. That’s so awesome that you went to a QFC event. Really wish I could go to some blogging events, but I live in the middle of nowhere, so I doubt that will be happening anytime soon. Maybe there are some other bloggers around here that I don’t know of.

It’s also pretty cool that your husband taught you how to cook some food items, and of course stopped cooking! I know just about as much as you do when it comes to Spanish, but I would also love to learn more. Maybe someday! I am in the same boat as you when it comes to the nail-biting! Such a bad habit, but I cannot stop!
