“Charlie and Lola Volume 9: What Can I Wear for Halloween” DVD Review & Giveaway

Charlie and Lola DVD

This was the first time that my family and I were introduced to Charlie and Lola.  They are ADORABLE!!  I received a copy of “Charlie and Lola, Vol. 9: What Can I Wear for Halloween?” on DVD. My boys really enjoyed watching it and I actually enjoyed it as well. It was cute to see the brother and sister team and their friends work together to prepare for Halloween!  My favorite character was Charlie because he reminded me so much of my oldest boy!

BBC Video released “Charlie and Lola Volume Nine” What Can I Wear for Halloween” on September 8th, 2009. “Charlie and Lola” is an award-winning preschool series. In this DVD, we follow the adorable sibling duo and their friends as they get together to prepare for their school’s Halloween Party. Charlie, Lola, Lotta and Marv have been growing a pumpkin all through summer, and it’s enormous. Everyone has decided what costumes to wear, except for Lola. On the day of the party, however, disaster strikes. Bat Boy (otherwise known as Morton from upstairs) splatters the pumpkin and now Lola has a double crisis on her hands. Featuring nine fun-filled episodes, including the double-length Autumn special, Everything is Different and Not the Same.”

  1. I think the favorites were the ones that were easy to put on and not hard to move around. Winnie the pooh was and easy one when I was little- no mask and warm where we lived

  2. When I was little we had to create our own costumes most of the time..I think my favorite was a christmas tree that I made for my sister. Now that I am a mommy I love looking for costumes for my children and they always pick such great ones that I never want to get rid of them.

  3. I remember when I was little they had those really crappy plastic costumes. I would say that my favorite was when I was a cat.

  4. I don’t recall dressing up as a child (poor me) but as an adult I liked my flapper costume best.

  5. I can remember the year me and my brother were dresses as lightning bugs and the antennas my dad made flashed. My parents always made our costumes and I remember many comments on how cute they were from all our neighbors.
    Thanks for the chance!!

  6. my favorite costume was when my best friend and i made our own costume..
we were siamese twins..we got so many compliments that year..
    thanks

  7. main entry: my favorite childhood costume was one my mom made for me which was a fairy, lots of white tulle, glittery thread was used and my wand. my mom loved to sew as do I amd I loved the creations I got at halloween. thanks> my grandson would love this DVD

  9. Ahahaha – my favorite Halloween costume was so gawd-awful: huge fuzzy rainbow wig, blue false eyelashes, a purple shawl and shiny gold pants….I think I was supposed to be a punk rocker or something. Only an 8 year old could love a costume like that!! = P

  10. My favorite costume wasn’t mine,buy our dog’s.
We had a schnoodle and we dressed him up with a scarf around his neck as a cowboy and he was always the first at the door for candy.
Come to think of it he got more attention than any of us kids. lol

  11. When I was 8 I went as a ballerina that had fallen off the stage.
No lie. I wore a tutu and a bandage on my head.
My mother let me pick my own costume that year.

  12. A clown! Mama made the costume and I was horrified. I wanted store bought. But it was the cutest costume I ever had. With a few alterations I even wore it in high school.

  13. I don’t remember how old I was, but my favorite costume when I was a kid was Sally from the Peanuts. It was one of those real thin store bought costumes, but I love it anyway! Thanks so much for such a wonderful giveaway, my girls love Charlie and Lola!
