I have loved getting to know so many great bloggers around the blogosphere and the Featured Blogger Friday on The Mommy-Files gives everyone a chance to get to know those bloggers. Today, I’d like to introduce Ellen from Thrifty and Chic Mom. She is a SAHM with 2 daughters and daughter #3 on the way! What made you choose the name of your blog?

I think it defines who I am. My blog is about saving money but also being stylish. I love clothes, (I studied textiles in college) and I am not a frugal zealot but I love a good deal and money is tight so I save any way I can , but I never sacrifice my style hence Thrifty & Chic Mom…that’s me!

Who designed your blog?

My blog was designed by Berries & Cream designer Revka ( she is fabulous and I highly recommend her)

Why do you blog?

I started blogging to share the deals I found with my friends and family. I got tired of calling everyone and I kept on blogging because it helped me to find more great deals, save more money. Then I added in product reviews and giveaways which I love because I get to try out the latest and greatest things and so do my readers. It helps to feed my shopping addiction which my husband greatly appreciates!

What is the purpose of your blog?

My blog is all about helping moms save money on the necessities so they can have that money for the things they want in life. It’s about living large on very little or living life while spending less. I also love sharing chic tips and great new products as well as anything that affects my life, after all one of the benefits of being a mom is sharing what I have learned with others and learning from them in return.

Do you have any blogging tips (i.e. from those getting started to those who have been blogging longer than you)?

Figure out what you like to talk about then you won’t stress over posts and be sure to remember why you started blogging. Blogging is a great way to meet others that you share common interests with so take the time to explore and comment!

Are you married? If so, how long?

Yes for 4 years

Do you have children? If so, how many?

I have 2 kids with number 3 due in Sept. All 3 are girls and I will be a busy mom of 3 under 3 1/2 I can’t wait!

What is your favorite movie of all time?

I love Pride & Prejudice the original and the new something about it just strikes a chord with me.

Who is your favorite actor?

don’t have one, sorry to disappoint.

What is your favorite dessert?

toss up between angel food cake and cheesecake

What is your favorite holiday?

Christmas, I love to everything about it from the meaning to the festivities plus any excuse to buy things for others makes me happy. I love giving gifts!
